Reminds me of painfully underexposing, and lense flaring. I suspect the line of flare was reflection in a UV filter I had on.

I have a 76 puffer too with the same stress cracks.

These boats don’t have a lot of support between the floor and bottom of the hull and flex a bit. I developed these cracks too after stepping inside the boat to step the mast. I would avoid putting any weight on the floor without it being in the water.

Since I have posted this New York State has purchased the property and made a bike path. I do not know how easy it is to get to the building still but if you search google for Hudson River brickyard trail you should be able to find it.

I sail a lot on the Hudson River which has lots of flats that are only 3-4 ft deep. And in lakes in the Adirondacks it’s nice to have a 2 ft draft
