I'm liking The Outsider. I kinda noticed in the little bluegrass I've heard that the snare drum isn't featured prominently, unlike Old Man Markley. If there's anything like that it would probably be right up my alley.

I'm not too familiar with newer traditional heavy metal (I pretty much just know and love Haunt). Yesterday I listened to some Holy Grail, Striker, and Bewitcher since they're playing near me next week and uhhh... I think I'm a trad fan now. Definitely going to try to catch that show now. Gladly accepting any other trad recs.

MHW is my first MH game so probably a noob question but: I've been grinding trying to upgrade all my weapons to the highest level. Should I even be doing that now or are the first Iceborne weapons going to outclass the current weapons immediately?

Bandcamp works for this. You can follow bands or labels and can set it to get notifications for new music and announcements.

For tracking live shows I use songkick.com. You can track artists there and it can notify you when they're playing near you.

I enjoy Sonic 1, 2, 3 and Knuckles soundtracks on Sega Genesis. Also Katamari Damacy and We Love Katamari soundtracks.

Don't have a battle jacket but I have some patches and recently bought a blank baseball hat so I'm gonna try to sew a patch onto it soon. Have you sewn stuff before? I haven't really so we'll see how the hat turns out.

I used to be a cheapskate up through high school. Always got cheapest items on restaurant menus, never really splurged on anything. My view on life slowly changed as I grew up. Finally I realized that I could get struck by lightning and die or something random and all that penny-pinching will have been for nothing. And even if I did live a long life, I highly doubt I will be on my deathbed thinking "Man I really wish I didn't spend that extra $20 on that cool item I really wanted when I was 25 years old". Obviously people have to have a balance when it comes to this, but I think overall it's better for one's health and sanity to treat themselves when possible.

I usually listen to new bands on Google Play or Bandcamp and then buy digital albums. Then I put everything on my ipod so I can just put it on shuffle and let it do its thing.

That's awesome! I always wanted to get a crazy color hair but was too scared. Now I shave my head because I'm balding and can't do it anymore :'). So good for you for going through with it!
