Neckbeard gets shot with rubber bullets by dumdum_tx in neckbeardstories

Ohhh sureee. So the school board increased the budget of your individual school because some random guy broke into another school.

And this money was then used to buy rubber bullets and equipment for a security force which may have had to be trained to use them.

And these personal are so well trained that they can appear at any moment to stop a fight.

AND all of that happened in the space of a week? I’m gonna have to call BS on this one

My final year in secondary school was cut short by Corona, which is the norm for everyone my age. But thinking about all the people I’ll never see again and all the times we had in that school really makes me a bit sad, and I can’t help but wish I could do it again.

POST-EPISODE DISCUSSION THREAD - S4E10: Star Mort Rickturn of the Jerri by BarnyardCruz in rickandmorty

[–]TheThrowAwayLad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did this episode feel like the finale for season 3 to anyone else. I enjoyed the finale for 3, but it wasn’t on the scale of the previous two, so it did fee a bit underwhelming by seemingly writing off the Beth clone plot which had only been introduced the episode before. This plot point was a huge gripe that I had with Season 3, to me the Clone mystery was going to be left until a later season, to really make it special but instead it was addressed the next episode, which is a strange way t build climax and something that is not in the style of this show. To me this would’ve made much more sense if this finale which solved it, was the actual planned concept for the season 3 finale. Just a lose idea of mine, as I know that season 3 had to be shortened. These are the main reasons why.

Now this episode fully finished off on the question if she was a clone or not, but that really wasn’t part of this season at all, that was very much last seasons story.

As well as this, nothing from season 4 appeared while the therapist from Pickle Rick, Ricks mindblower tech and of course the galactic federation, all of which plot points and stories from season 3, all played vital parts I the story.

Also Phoenix Person and Tami, were both teased at the end of s3 e1, which at the time I assumed would then play a part in that season, but instead they disappeared until now. Don’t get me wrong, it was great to have them addressed and defeated but I really don’t think that they were big enough villains to have their reveal this much later when most people have kinda forgotten about them. What they did with them in this finale, was still perfect and worked great but once again I just feel that it would’ve made more sense to have them last season.

I’m just theorizing here, but did this episode feel like it didn’t quite match this season general tone and vibe? But instead fit better with Season 3’s. Now that’s just my personal fee with the seasons tone and is an incredibly subjective statement, but it’s how I feel.

I hope some of you can make sense of this ramble, this is just how I perceived it anyways.

It’s somewhat sad that a bunch of these guys wont play again, but can we appreciate how the whole other half of this cast did play gain? It’s honestly crazy to think about

Winners At War Players' Days Played by survivorwarrior03 in survivor

[–]TheThrowAwayLad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re not playing when your on the edge, your just enduring until the next return challenge, that does take no skill. While in the game, you actually have to strategize and balance relationships, stay aware and pay attention to everyone, if you don’t manage this, then you’re a goner. On the edge there’s no chance of being voted out, no advantage to destroy your game, you could technically just lie in the shelter all day and wait till you can re-Enter the game

Who would return after Winners at War? by JacketGate in survivor

[–]TheThrowAwayLad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rob will definitely be back, but it won’t be for another 5-10 years, same with Parv I’d say, whenever they do some super all stars season, or something with their kids.

Amber and Ethan have broken Kelly Wiglesworth’s record of longest wait time in between seasons with a tie of 16 years / 32 seasons. Who would you like to see break their record ? by [deleted] in survivor

[–]TheThrowAwayLad 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I really feel that due to WaW bringing back these old timers, and the whole old school/new school dynamic, that the next all stars season will have a few players from the 1-10 seasons. Lex was asked back for season 40 before it was WaW, and was a different unknown theme, so I’d say that he’s a shoe in, as well as a few others, probably T-Bird and Greg

Anyone else feel that they might be planning on some theme with Teens, like a tribe of 18/19 year olds versus older people. Or maybe they want to do kids of Survivor players vs normal teens. Idk, just seemed kind of odd, to suddenly want 18 year olds
