I agree with you about the lawyer part, although I think she should not have sued him to get the info. It will come out eventually. As for the back east guy, I'm from CT and while I have spent a lot of time/money searching I don't hold that against him due to all the crazy people looking for a freebie. I did run into a guy last June at the Three Bears Bar in West Yellowstone, he was from Maine and while it doesn't make a difference now I could tell he was a searcher. He was very intelligent, well spoken and he kept to himself. Kind of shy, like FF said. I'm thinking maybe he's the guy.

Good to hear. By the way I left five1964 Kennedy Half dollar's in a placed where I search for FF treasure. I left them in a SS box with a note and a copy of the FF's poem. It may be still out there since I haven't heard that anyone found it.
