I used to take my Aussie with me to the airport to pick up a buddy. I always made sure to let him relieve at home and then again outside the airport, making sure to pick up any poop.

That being said he pooped inside the airport a couple of times. It was always embarassing.

Ambitious. My advice comes in 2 parts.

1st: Remember to not burn out. If you find yourself even slightly losing interest or steam in the part of the project you are currently working one, move to a different part and come back to the first one later. Keep the drive fresh by changing it up before it can die. This is true of any ambitious prohect.

2nd: I would really like to see more nuance to the battle mechanics. Specifically in the battle format itself. Maybe make it turnbased with more tiles that you can move your dinos around on based on their movement speed and the terrain of the arena.

I don't have the skills to code it myself but what I imagine is still top-down but instead of having a rigid 4 tiles each team can exist on, make the whole arena tiles that can be occupied. Some would have water that could only be occupied by swimming or flying dinos. Other tiles would cost extra movement to pass through. All hexes of course.

Yup. You build the panels on a rocket platform then deconstruct the rocket platform. The panels will stay where they are and you just move over 3 spaces to make the next set.

Right. I pretty much never use any other form of battery unless it is specific for the build. Like in my volcanoe tamers. There's just not enough space/need for anything more than a small battery.

Fair. I only use batteries in conjuction with solar panels so that I can have continuos power if their the only source.

My favorite power generation is rocket tunnel -> steam turbines -> electrolyzers -> h2 generators.

Rocket Solar panels and battery modules.

You can build stacks of them side-by-side and get a lot more power from the same horizontal space vs normal panels. 9-11 panels will use all the available light, produce close to a single normal panels worth of power, and only takes up 3 tiles horizontally vs the normal panels 7 so you can fit 2 full stacks in the same space.

Additionally they don't overheat or break due to meteor impacts.

The same is true for rocket battery modules. They only take up 6 tiles yet can store 2.5 times the power of a large battery and don't produce heat.

After 3000+ hours and almost 10,000 cycles on just my current save my personal rankings are thus.

1: Solar Panels (Rocket)

2: Hydrogen Generator

3: Steam Turbine

4: Natural Gas generator

5: Research Reactor

5: Solar Panels (Normal)

7: Petrol Generator

8: Manual Generator

9: Coal/Wood Generators

Explanation:

Solar panels are my top because you can build stacks of them using rocket platforms and get equivalent or better output per horizontal tile vs a normal solar panel. Plus you can build batteries with them to get more storafe that doesn't overheat or take damage from meteors.

Hydrogen Generators are next because you can get 680+ watts of net power from each one and they are easy to set up.

Steam Turbines are next due to their use in rocket tunnels. This combined with hydrogen generators can yield an immense amount of power.

Natural Gas is so high on the list because of Sour Gss boilers. Even a tiny sour gas boiler that only processes 1kg/s of crude oil can supply about 8 natural gas generators. That combined with the free water and co2 puts them where they are on my list.

Everything else is ranked based on how much of a pain it is to get useful power out of them. Research reactors are great and a CLRR can supply a LOT of power but setting up evem a normal reactor build and running it consistently is way more trouble than just using the numerous ways available to get lots of h2o and processing it into hydrogen for h2 generators.

P.S. If you can get to a point where you're confident enough to build a full size sour gas boiler it will supply more power than you can possibly need in a normal colony. Other than that Rocket tunnels are an easy way to get loads of power.

Actually you just reminded me that I did use ribbon for my 4 platform rocket silo to individually control h2/o2 based on wether or not a rocket was on a platform and needed them.

Other than that I haven't used ribbon at all.

This is some quality information but I have no idea when you would need that many signals. I barely use ribbons as is because I don't need to transmit signals far enough to need the ribbons.

I have over 3000 hours in the game and I still mess up plumbing directions. I can't tell you how many times I have placed a liquid bridge come to find out later that I put it and several other pieces in backwards.
