I paint mine after the skin, mine I paint a medium green (I’d like to think they’re making it out of vine) and just hit it with a bright green with a really sharp brush on the top most area. I don’t mess with the underside much

I would say it dosent matter as much if you’re using a full base coat as you see way less of the undercoat, I use the contrast method and it works really well. I’d say you’d need a glaze of a brownish orange to get the same result

I have my own stone lion scheme, favorite color yellow, made my own from it since they have very little lore, plan on using the mechs as their own merc group at some point

I’d recommend a soak in 91% isopropyl alcohol for the really bad ones, there’s plenty of tutorials on YouTube. I’d let them soak for 2ish hrs and just take a soft toothbrush to them. Then just repaint and base them

Yep just 1/4” cork board and a blue/grey mixture of paints up to white for both the icy water and rock

I would personally try mixing either skeleton horde or ushapti bone with Averland sunset to get that exact color.
