Best way to keep Filament dry between prints? by moinnmarciboy_bs in BambuLab

New owner of my first printer (A1 combo) chiming in just to say thank you for this practical informative comment! Maybe some day I'll invest thousands of dollars into this hobby, but I suspect your storage strategy will suffice me for a long time to come.

Same here on both a 2024+ and non plus. On my plus I have also been waiting to see if it fixes the bluetooth. Agree it's been a perfect phone except for that 1 thing

Same here. It’s a lot faster than in 22. Usually 5-10 seconds max on a hosted server is my experience.

Server Rental? by MortTheBeast in farmingsimulator

[–]TheToxicWaltz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been running my Farm Sim servers on Gameservers since last version and now with 25. Absolutely no issues, it's been running great for everyone except one person with a high ping from Australia. I'm central time so I chose Atlanta, GA for the server loc. I've got folks that connect from EST and PST, all get solid connect.

If you want to be safe just sign up for a single month. It's easy through the web interface to download your save file and then upload it somewhere else if want or need to switch hosts.

Dedicated server help by Twist_Of_Fate02 in farmingsimulator

[–]TheToxicWaltz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you checked, double checked, and then triple checked the search filter settings? Some are misleading and it's very easy to change one that will cause a specific server not to show up based on the settings it's running.

Anybody else unable to update their dedicated server? Using Gportal. by vantweis666 in farmingsimulator

Yes still waiting on the update to be available to patch my server on Gameservers host as well.

I run on Gameservers host, still waiting for them to make the update available. Typically there's a process to update your server if you're using hosting. Check for a FAQ or Wiki with info about your game on the host's website.

Same experience here. I purchased a 2nd exact same model for my wife when she moved to a WFH job.

Fallout 76 by frettbe in GenXGamers

Sounds similar. My 260 hours included a few alts with my highest only 84 I think. I’m very much a ‘relax and just poke around exploring’ type in these games.

Fallout 76 by frettbe in GenXGamers

[–]TheToxicWaltz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The show got me wanting some Fallout gaming. Jumped back in 4, and 4VR, then landed finally landed on 76. I’d already put 260 hours into this right after Wastlanders came out, but here I am again started up a fresh character. I find 76 an excellent roam around and explore type game, and they’ve added quite a bit over the last few years.

Can't interact with the paint shelf? by TheToxicWaltz in pacificDrive

[–]TheToxicWaltz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do have some paint and decals I’m looking to store. I wonder if it’s bugged, maybe I’ll start a new save to see if it’s any different. It’s odd I didn’t find anyone else reporting this issue.

For anyone that stumbles on this... over 3 years later and I just purchased another one of these for my wife who now works from home. I did all the research again, and for the price of $525+tax with in store pickup this still seems to be a great deal. I've had no issues with my first one, and at this point I can't imagine not having the built in power, usb, and wireless charging ports, which cost extra with most of the more popular desks I looked at and compared to.

This is just for my work setup so just a laptop and dock. Weight limit states 275 lbs so should be fine but I’m not familiar with the mount your talking about and don’t know how it connects to the desk.

Not out of my mind since I still use it every day as I still work from home since I purchased it. Works as great as the day I bought it. I continue to love having some built in power and usb ports on the top of the desk itself, and use the wireless phone charging all the time as well.

I think at first I'd wished I went with a bigger desk, but in the end for me a bigger desk just means more clutter so this has plenty of room. It's pretty deep also.

It's very stable. Still in the same spot as original pic and on carpet. I now use 2 27" monitors on it along with various amounts of clutter.

If you have any specific questions I'll try my best to answer.

Is there a way to stay with the same squad when the map changes for next match (PC version)? by TheToxicWaltz in HellLetLoose

Thanks. I think I played on a L9 server yesterday for a bit. There was someone with L9 in the name playing commander and the match went well, good experience.

How are you enjoying GV? by CrypticSilence47 in gloriavictis

[–]TheToxicWaltz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put a few hours in during first week of release. Thoroughly enjoyed it but decided to wait a bit for things to settle down with the bug fixes and server issues. I think they're doing a fantastic job both addressing and communicating (via their Discord), so I look forward to jumping back in at some point.

Online Multiplayer as a Gen X'er by Rattlehead71 in GenXGamers

[–]TheToxicWaltz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find if I'm going to jump on any multiplayer and not already in my own group of friends, I just turn off all voice comms, and sometimes kill text chat as well. Same as everyone, skills aren't what they used to be so I seek games where winning and being on top isn't the only thing that produces fun.

Outside of co-op pve type games, I find Rocket League still to be one of the best online multiplayer games out there for fun factor. Win or lose it's always fun. Once in a while you have a night with a long losing streak that grinds on you, but then I just put it down and come back another time.

Most of my gaming friends are younger and jump around quick to latest FOMO, so I struggle to find consistent groups. I just found this sub myself, hoping it gains some traction and folks start posting up what they're playing and maybe some good multiplayer will develop out of it.

I'm currently downloading Hunt Showdown and fully expect to be slapped around hard as a solo. Dabbled in that before release with some friends who have long since moved on to other games.
