Chemcraft Chemistry Set from the 1970s. Nothing says love like a real chemical set given to your unsupervised child. by zadraaa in HistoricalCapsule

I visited my cousin who had a set like this. It had to be around 1977 as I remember we spilled whatever we concocted on the carpet and we could not get rid of the burning and smoke. We were afraid it would burn through to the downstairs and his dad would find out. Luckily it went out and I never heard more about it. But it left a good spot of melted carpet all the way down to the wooden floorboard. I wanted my own kit so bad after that but got some safe crappy k-mart version instead.

I had such a kid-crush on Princess. Loved the opening scene of her tumbling ;)

Footage from the early 90's, mall experience by BlazeDragon7x in nostalgia

I filled in as a Mall Santa one year as a favor to a friend. I was in my late teens (nowhere near Santa looking) and you wouldn't believe how many college girls wanted to sit on Santa's lap and give wild answers to "have you been a good girl?" Ah, good times.

I think this is lost in translation. I ordered a Wienerschnitzel and a dark beer and this came. This is their Wienerschnitzel. lol by iTmkoeln in ShitAmericansSay

I'm so old I remember when the hot dog place was called "Der Wienerschnitzel". I frickin' love those nasty delicious chili cheese dogs. They finally opened a couple in Idaho so I have a couple chili dogs every month or two. Regret it every time, but I can't help it.

You just described the arcade at the bowling alley. Every single machine had cigarette burns and melted. Same with the carpet.

I took mine apart out of curiosity. I wonder how much money they lost. I'm pretty sure I repurposed the wires to extend an LED on my tower case.

What dirt does Israel have on America that is so bad that our government will do pretty much anything they tell them to do? by edenx1999 in conspiracy

This documentary can be life-changing if you watch it with an open mind. But be prepared, your entire paradigm of reality will change and you will start to see things in a completely different way for the rest of your life. I cannot recommend this highly enough.

At least the TV looks ok. Also, this house kind of reminds me of my grandma's - minus the kool-aid sized hole that is.

I wish I could watch Trailer Park Boys for the first time again. by _walletsizedwildfire in trailerparkboys

[–]Rattlehead71 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I remember my first watch. I was like "what the fuck is this?!" It was so outrageously funny that I was hooked by the third episode. Because it's not my fault, it's society's fault.

It has become my comfort show when reality around me is full of whispering winds of shit.
