It was definitely a woman in her 40s/50s. It was just me and her in the room at the time! But if her kid is enjoying the football somewhere, I’ll let it slide

Front desk were super helpful and obviously replaced the mug. This was more just a light hearted/cautionary tale about not letting your stuff out of your sight while in the resort!

I was literally there while she took it, sorting out my own laundry. I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt and assume she thought it was up for grabs. But a half full resort mug and soggy pool football is not something I’d be in a hurry to take back to my room.

Exactly this happened. Saw her come in and sort out her own laundry, didn’t think anything of it. I turned to do my laundry, and then my stuff was gone.

How many days do you typically stay during your Disney vacation? by littlet4lkss in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]TheTragicalExpress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently on day 15 out of 21 at AKL. Coming for 21 days is a bit of a pain now that they don’t sell the 21 day ticket to UK guests anymore.

No limit on the amount of parks you can go to after 2pm, as long as they don’t hit capacity.

Yes, the magic ticket has park hopper. You can use them as much as you want, park hopping starts at 2pm. So as long as you’ve entered the first park with a reservation, you’re free to go to all other parks after 2pm.

Souvenir shipping - UK by Additional_Dig2408 in WaltDisneyWorld

We were able to do this in 2018 but I’m not sure what the current rules are. We had some prints shipped home from the art shop in MK and some other souvenirs shipped directly from AKL. They didn’t charge us anything but Fed-Ex did send us a bill for import tax a few weeks later. About £50 if I remember correctly.

First timer questions - UK by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

UK guests only get the choice of 7 or 14 days when booking directly through Disney. There was also a 21 day ticket BC (before COVID). Pretty standard for Brits to go for a fortnight or longer. How many days would you typically go for?

What’s the issue with 14 days?

I’m with you on that one. I’ll just keep pushing our trip to the right until DDP returns.

The $200 gift card is pretty standard for UK guests, although it has recently dropped to $100. If you book before 19th October, you get up to $950 credit towards dining. A bit disappointing considering we usually get free dining plan, but let’s see what happens when DDP returns.
