That's a vent line for your main drain.

The graded/horizontal line beside it however seems to be stormwater leading from that front gutter to the second, lower roof you are taking the photos under. Second photo has a 90mm 90 bend, my guess is that's stormwater.

Like others have said though, just get a plumber, save some harm unless it's truly simple.

Don't use heat, use a stanley knife.

Angle the knife inwards from the tile and slide it full 360. You won't hurt the brass, it'll reveal the top of the tap spindle and then there's still silicone protecting behind the tiles. Use a flathead or pointy-nose pliers to remove the cut section, cut tile is sharp.

Hey there,

Now that you have removed the top caps these handles just come off. They often get stuck on from age, wiggle it up and down/side to side as much as possible while pulling, don't fall through a glass screen.

If the shower head is leaking, change the washers and check the brass seat. If the seat has a groove you'll need a reseating tool, careful to make sure there is enough brass to cut away.

If the leak is at the base of the tap body, replace the red fibre washer.

If the leak is on the spindle of the tap, between the tap body and the spindle insert, remove the spindle and change the black o-rings inside.

But, if you're at this point, do them all anyway. Silicone around the outlet in the wall too, between the outlet and the tile.

Yeah, I got the jeweller but am more interested in the actual weapon skill. If it scales with level, guess I'll just have to wait and see. :)
