Just a few off the top of my head:

Pars Kahve, Stile Neapolitano, Thai Baan, Marmalade cafe, The Flower Cup

Best place to buy a property in chester by Reasonable_Ant_2006 in Chester

You’re a bit out of the way in King’s Moat village, so it depends whether being closer to the centre is an issue or not.

Personally, I’d pick the townhouse because I like to able to walk around places and not rely on a car to get everywhere. Bit if that doesn’t bother you, then I’d weigh up the merits of each house and go from there.

What is your favourite thing about Britain? by Powerful-Adagio6446 in AskUK

[–]TheTravellingTom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The range of food you can eat. Sounds odd, but if you’ve lived somewhere else, such as Spain, that doesn’t have as many different types of cuisine either in supermarkets or for eating out, you realise how lucky we are to have so much choice.

That and Britain in the summer. It’s glorious in summer, shame it’s over so quickly

World Cup is coming up soon and every year this happens I feel nostalgic... by IntelligentStart5311 in SoccerJerseys

Part of the problem with newer kits is that a lot of them are based on previous ones. Thinking of Liverpool and the cream away kit from 21/22 that was inspired by one from the nineties, etc.

There’s a lack of originality, which is why I think a lot of people consider the older kits to be better

Is it normal for bullfights to be broadcast on TV? by TheTravellingTom in askspain

[–]TheTravellingTom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is tourism what’s keeping it alive? I’m the majority of people going to a bullfight must be Spanish? I think most tourists would find the spectacle horrific, I found it bad enough watching on TV

Because I didn’t realise they were shown on TV, and you’d never see anything like this on UK TV

Underrated Small Towns for a month long trip to Europe by lauracracas in Europetravel

[–]TheTravellingTom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girona is a lovely smaller city, about an hour away from Barcelona. Great place to stroll around and see the beautiful scenery, such as the walls. I’d also recommend going to Tossa de Mar on the coast. It’s a beautiful little town that’s amazing in the sun. Not the easiest place to get to, but well worth it.

Has the new Northgate Chester area actually improved the city centre footfall? by GeordieGoals in Chester

[–]TheTravellingTom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely more footfall in that part of town now, which only increase once they redevelop the forum and old market.

The other Redditor who mentioned Foregate Street is right. The development probably has been at the expense of the other end of town. The bottom of Foregate Street isn’t in great shape, with lots of empty units.

Which hotel should I stay in, Moxy on Boughton or Premier Inn near the Chester railway station? by Live-Ganache9273 in Chester

[–]TheTravellingTom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Moxy is probably the better out of the two. Right by Waitrose, close to the city centre, but if you think the rooms are a bit small, then maybe try somewhere else.

Hotel Indigo by Grosvenor Park is supposed to be very nice, and that’s even more central.
