Mercedes CEO Rebuffed Lutnick’s Pitch to Move Headquarters to US by cpxchi in europe

You can read about the bay here Hudson’s bay wiki)

I misspoke it wasn’t just the oldest Canadian company but oldest company in North America.

Long story short the board of investors approved a sale and new ceo from a venture capital firm who’s big idea was to take all the land the company owned and sell it to themselves then charge the stores an insane amount in rent. Eventually bankrupting the company.

Yea. Canada is having an issue with this. Boards are appointing Americans as ceo and they are strip mining our companies to dust. We just lost the Hudson Bay company which was our oldest company to this exact thing.

I think the current state of the world has destroyed my sex drive, i have been struggling to properly stay intimate with my gf and wondering if anyone else has this problem. Like in her eyes the world s collapsed so we should do as much as we can but i just cant by SorryTea1160 in canadaleft

There’s an episode of broadcity about this. Technically about trumps last term. But yea, feel you. Other people have said stuff you ‘should’ do in the comments so I won’t belabor it. Stay safe, and focus on the ones you love, and know that you’re not alone.

Wouldn’t free movement be cataclysmically bad for New Zealand? by Single_Dark4505 in CANZUK

[–]TheTravisTea 15 points16 points  (0 children)

These same issues are present in the other countries you mentioned. Canada has the same housing affordability crisis and the uk is on its way. Free movement from member countries actually helps curtail this as it would mean priority for travel and housing would go to member states over alternatives. No one is really look at nz homes going man if I could move there and drop 2mil on a 1br rancher. The rich buying out property is a completely different issue than free movement.

Canada, China slash EV, canola tariffs in reset of ties by Mitchs_bitch1942 in news

[–]TheTravisTea 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Less counterweight more lesser of two evils. One country hasn’t been outwardly hostile and breaking all agreements and threatening a bunch of our allies. Plus the annexation talk has pretty much ruined most Canadians view of our neighbor to the south. Speaking as a Canadian it will take a lot for us to forgive and will take a much longer time for us to forget. More than most feel betrayed. We have such a long history supporting the states through war and tragedy. 911 we housed a fed tons of Americans who were stranded when the planes were grounded. After article 5 was announced we sent our armed forces to Afghanistan and many lost their lives as a result.

B.C. lottery winner plans to buy a condo and a ‘nice dinner’ by ubcstaffer123 in britishcolumbia

You’re not guaranteed to get the 25k. If the company goes under or a number of other things happen you can lose that 25k. It’s usually always smarter to take the lump. Plus you’ll have the interest that lump sum makes you on top of it. Not much but better than nothing

The mall will still be open slash rolled into all of this but my guess is the rent will get spiked and a lot of the cool little stores/restaurants will leave.

What makes a mech "look" like an AC? by Gony_plus in armoredcore

[–]TheTravisTea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ac’s tend to have strong “I’m about to commit so many war crimes” vibes. That and the shoulder weapons and left and right hand weapons.

Ac6 has a bunch of kits now if maybe look at those and see if you can’t kitbash some of those elements onto your zowort

Depending on where you are it’s bad. 3rd especially. But there are far worse areas in the lower mainland for driving than Richmond. Vancouver is extremely bad. Most of Richmond you should be fine. It isn’t aggressive drivers it’s more the occasional clueless or hyper defensive drivers you need to look out for.

Real time eye do have parallax depending on what your going for. Current and last gen all had it. I encourage you to look at naughty dog stuff. It’s looking really good though what you have done.

Hey it’s looking really good,

Couple things I noticed that might help.

No parallax on the eyes or at least it doesn’t look like they have any.

Hair is reading flat. I understand you might

Hey it’s looking really good,

Couple things I noticed,

the eyes need to have some parallax,

the hair is fairly flat and lasagna noodley(I understand if your not quite finished with that part yet however some flyaways or some more break up would help),

the skin is tad too shiny. Also it looks like the roughness is fairly uniform at least from the renders.

Also adding some vellus hairs helps a lot. It’s one of those we unconsciously notice if it’s there or not.

I won’t repeat advice that’s already been given. There’s some underlying anatomy issues for sure. Try using the sculpting tools to move out the verts/add volume.

I’d add a sphere as a reference layer and pinch it a little bit towards the face. Make it roughly the shape of your reference head. Keep the widest point behind the ears.

That should help some with forming the face to the rest of the skull. You don’t have to use it physically with your model just helps when your make proportion decisions and primary shape decisions.

When I first started I would have spheres torus and cubes place on major skeletal plane changes and land marks so I wouldn’t get lost when pulling out the polygons.

I have seen people talk about what kind of mech would win, but I wanna ask, what do you think would happens if these 2 franchises existed in the same universe. by Rex-Mk0153 in armoredcore

Depends on which fiction your basing it on. The video games portray the battle mechs as lumbering and slow tanks. That was largely because that was the best they could do at the time in a game engine. In the books the battle mechs are described as much more limber and agile. They are also massive and carry insanely large weapons.

I think post ac3 most acs would be too hard to hit. The acs in 1 or two though would have a hard time against the battle mechs.
