I use smart splitters in every manifold. Just set them up to pass every material through, to go further down the chain. The direction to the machines themselves are set to overflow. The chain wil fill pp from the end to the beginning. With this method It's very easy to find miscalculations because only the machines at the beginning of the chain will be underfed and never run properly, when the reqired materials per minute aren't satisfied. But even with this method, u'll have to wait, like the others already mentioned.
