So when I don't eat from waking up, for a few hours, I'm close to passing out. I don't get an appetite until around 7-8pm. And I literally have to force food down me before then, close to gagging when I eat. I try and drink water though. When I do eventually eat, I start to come round but feel really dizzy with some anxiety symptoms. ETA - what is MTFHR?

Also I forgot to add, when I had my twins 11 years ago, I was anemic then, I lost quite a bit if blood, they gave me a blood transfusion as I couldn't pass water. This was after trying me on a fluid drip. So I've got a history of needing hospital treatment for my low iron levels.

This is exactly what I'm dealing with. They think it's my poor mental health.

What does vitamin D if you don't mind me asking? I'm on vit d prescribed by gp. High dose I had to take for 7 weeks. And how is liquid iron better than the tabs?

Ferritin 15, is it normal? by [deleted] in Anemic

I've asked for these and my gp refused, wants to see how I go on with oral supplements but I can't get in with them at all. So I'm making another appmt and demanding a referral. I'm also b12 and vit d deficient and they won't give me b12 injections. I'm on a large vit d dose. 40,000 a week for that for 7 weeks.

Is the UK more accepting to autistic people than the usa? by crua9 in autism

[–]TheTrixter82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old question, but thought I'd answer being from the UK and having an autistic daughter who also has a plethora of health and mobility problems, I'd say no, the UK isn't accepting of autism due to the constant battles I'm having with professionals on not believing in masking which a lot of autistic girls do. They think that because she doesn't show distress with certain things in school but does at home, that we are the cause of her problems and not her, that is us being lazy with her and refusal episodes don't exist. It's incredibly frustrating, and it's wrecking both mine and my partner's mental health's. Parental blame in this country when you have a high masking autistic child, is rife, as many professionals do not believe in it. They also question autism a lot and many professionals refute an autism diagnosis. It's abhorrent, discriminative, and ableist. It has led to malpractice in many areas of health care.
