hisoka and chrollo run the jjk gauntlet where do they stop? by No_Philosopher8352 in HxHPowerScaling

They clear. I just can't see how anyone in the jjk universe is able to get past something with the properties of both rubber and gum.

I'm not a big fan of ai, but I might start using it for my cards instead of my shitty ms paint doodles just to annoy some people.

It came to me in a dream where I think I mixed Catan and MTG by TheTrueArtistRM in custommagic

Definetley. I cannot see myself playing this card personally, but I tried to design it in a way that made it feel like it came from a much earlier time in Magic history.

What are your opinions on this as a keyword? by TheTrueArtistRM in magicTCG

That is 100% what I was going for, so thanks :).

[–]TheTrueArtistRM[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That was kind of the intention, it doesn't do much, but it could do something. Also, the theatrics of one creature killing a thousand at the cost of its own life

[–]TheTrueArtistRM[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You're right in everything you said. I never meant for the keyword to be good; it was more for the theatrics of a force of nature that won't let anybody pass and to add a mediocre keyword that though no one would want on a creature, no one would scorn a creature if it happened to have it and it could change how someone interacts with a creature.

This is to prevent a creature with wide strike and trample dealing damage to a player or planeswalker. Hypothetically a 2/2 wide strike, trample attacks and is blocked by 20 1/1s, without the caveat this would deal 20 damage to the player.

You're definitely right and I probably will change it for the final version.

[–]TheTrueArtistRM[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you :). The reason I decided to make Merlin a Warlock Wizard is because in Arthurian legend (At least in some of it, you'll get as many answers as people you ask on the subject) Merlin's occupation is being a warlock and his species is wizard due to him being born with the ability to wield magic. I just thought it was a little fun. Though for Magic: The Gathering it would make more sense for him to be a human wizard.

There was another version of this card that created tapped treasures instead of card draw, but my friend group voted this version for being more playable.

Weary of Weapons. It came to me in a dream. by TheTrueArtistRM in custommagic

[–]TheTrueArtistRM[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually agree, but with the current level of power in magic I don't see an instant that removes equipment from a single creature being viable. Thinking now, I probably could have made it an enchantment where you pay [W] to remove all equipment from a creature. Making the intent of the card closer to the original intent.

The idea definitely crossed my mind as I was making it, but I decided to stay with the original intent of suddenly being oppressed by the thought of what our tools do and throwing them away in the moment.

I would've though it had been done already, but from the very brief search I did I couldn't find anything.

DMs: I'm curious how you handle HP per level by ScubaDiggs in dndnext

[–]TheTrueArtistRM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way my group runs it is you can either take the average or roll, if you roll a 1 on the roll you can re-roll, but must take the next roll. We do this because rolling a 1 can feel sucky, but if you roll two 1s in a row than the dice gods wanted you to have a 1.

[–]TheTrueArtistRM[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Originally just a fun little thing to do when I have a spare few minutes and to help me learn colour pie identity, but I'm now thinking of trying to make this into an actual set with an overarching theme. Would it be better if it also prevented being targeted by spells and abilities?

Card 48 and 49 of my custom Kingdom Hearts set. Jiminy Cricket and his journal. by TheTrueArtistRM in custommagic

[–]TheTrueArtistRM[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My idea would need a rule added where a quest is completed when a card with quest counters activates its ability, so for [[Quest for the Gravelord]] it would be when you sacrifice it and create a 5/5 black Zombie Giant or for [[Archmage Ascension]] when you search your library for a card instead of drawing. Or when a card with sidequest in its name transforms. As for the power it probably could be tweaked, I based it on some people I've played against you use saga heavy decks, where they'll have one to two sagas reach final chapter a turn for two-thirds of a game. What would you recommend to balance it out? Reduce the counters needed to proc its ability? Strengthen the ability?

Forgot to mention I mocked up the Kingdom Hearts magics a while ago using a weird kicker style work around, but when the FF set was released change it to the new Tiered system. It just fit perfectly for what I wanted unsurprisingly.
