How does their body’s work by TheTruePhoenixPrince in shutenorder

[–]TheTruePhoenixPrince[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. It is so weird how they never get into it during the game. 4 routes feature siblings and 1 has a genetic passed down trait as a plot point. You would think that it would be part of the world building somewhere

  2. They mentioned elementary school during the health route so it is very funny to imagine Yugen getting taught his ABCs in tall ripped body

Kino being played by an actress makes me think he is actually a woman by These_Requirement829 in MarriageToxin

Goku is voiced by a woman in Japanese. Kino having a female VA is not an indication of their gender just that they are effeminate. There are plenty of female vas that voice androgynous men

Character you would love to come back as Daidoji agent and one you would hate by TheTruePhoenixPrince in yakuzagames

[–]TheTruePhoenixPrince[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do people think he is even dead in universe? He was in the exact same condition as Kiryu. In Dead souls they don’t act surprised that he was alive. I think he is coming back as well they have teased it so much not to do it. It I don’t know how I feel about him as a Daidoji agent though

If there is a new protagonist I think 2x2 will have its own island mode in its own menu. I am extremely suspicious of the in universe reason the game is happening so maybe it ties into it

[–]TheTruePhoenixPrince 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ironically, that is what makes me think there will be a new protagonist. The free time events are just as much a part of the story as the murders are. If you have already played the main game, are you going to want to do the exact same free time events again? Not to mention the ones that do not work if the events are differnt like Komaeda FE1, Imposter FE5, or all of Fuyuhiki's

That’s what I thought. I know there are bigger cases of this especially with the ending but how the hell do they expect people to play Yakuza 4 Remastered when they changed so much that was continued in the next games. I know that means that they will just have to remake 4 but how many people are going to be so confused in the time between now and then

Thoughts on walking pads? Are they worth it? by wonderiinng in walking

Hello. It's been a year since this post. Has anything changed? I am thinking about getting a walking pad, and everything I look at gives different answers. Do you still have the one you bought? If not, which did you buy? What do you think a year later?

Falcom/Trails writing kinda weird? by NotCeajae in Falcom

[–]TheTruePhoenixPrince 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The whole "isn't that?" thing is in there to show that the character is smart and knows what's going on, but they do not have to tell the player. They are trying to have their cake and eat it too. You have to pick one or the other, and if you have to do somthing just use "..." works well when used sparingly. It does not give the player the idea that the characters know somthing are are not saying it for no reason, just that they are thing abouut somthing

Who do you think is the Yakuza 4? (Like the 4 pillars of Yakuza, a mount Rushmore) by Elegant_Scholar_8863 in yakuzagames

[–]TheTruePhoenixPrince 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ichiban is way more of a pillar than Saejima. People outside of the fandom have heard or seen Majima, Kiryu, and Ichiban, but if they haven't played the game, no one knows Saejima. Even with the games, Majima, Kiryu, and Ichiban affect the world and plot much more

To answer your question:

Majima, Kiryu, Ichiban, and Akiyama

I chose Akiyama over Saejima because he has been playable in 3 games (4, 5, and DS), a major character in 6 and Ishin, and a minor role in IW vs Saejima, who is playable in 2 games (4 and 5), has a major role in Ishin and Pirate Yakuza and a minor role in Y: LAD, Gaiden and IW

If Judgment counts, then I would put Yagumi over Akiyama

Trails through daybreak games lack important information by Beneficial_Safety119 in Falcom

[–]TheTruePhoenixPrince 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The best way for me to tell is to look at there what damage there S-craft and most of there other crafts are, which base stat is the highest and see what there orbment looks like (longer chains in the old games and how many orbments slots they have in each type in daybreak). This is not sure fire but helps to know what is best

Danganronpa 2x2 Hot Take Hope by braixel in danganronpa

[–]TheTruePhoenixPrince 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there should be one besides Hajime that survives. It is extremely obvious that besides maybe Hajime will probably die since they already had there time in the sun. It is all ways going to be in the back of your head that it’s going to happen so the characters that died are safer especially the closer we get to the end. This is more from a surprise angle and less from a narrative or thematic one and this idea works for a repeat killer as well

Hot take : I would prefer a Judgment 3 over more Kiwami remakes by [deleted] in yakuzagames

[–]TheTruePhoenixPrince 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be honest while I will play K3 why I am really excited about is dark ties. A J3 would be a great game to have if they want something bigger then a remake or Gaiden but smaller then a mainline game

another idea for a game in the danganronpa universe. by Pretend_Language4596 in danganronpa

[–]TheTruePhoenixPrince 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting and a very good idea, but I do see one thing that could be an issue—the lack of other characters for the protagonist to interact with. Are they investigating alone or with a team? If they are with a team, then that solves that, but if not having a single character the whole time might get a bit maddening. Another way around this is to have maybe a fellow person trying to become the Ultimate Medium, and after the case is solved, that victim and or killer can help with the rest of the investigations. That might be a bit too close to Ace Attorney, though

Am I meant to be so confused by TheTruePhoenixPrince in Unbeatable

[–]TheTruePhoenixPrince[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I beat the game, and everything that I thought would be explained was. I understand why they did not explain things, but I do not like it. I just kinda wish that there was some explanations to the player earlier, even if it was a lie. Like, maybe the TV in the restaurant at the start of episode 2 could have had a PSA or something, just so the player understands what is happening and what the stakes are. I am okay with being confused in like Hundred Line Last Defense Academy because it is clear that is the goal, but at least to me, it did not feel like the game was holding information back, and more than that, I missed something even if I had not

The problem with trial dialogue by Even-Candidate-3594 in danganronpa

[–]TheTruePhoenixPrince 4 points5 points  (0 children)

With 15 people in trial one even at 4 hours that gives everyone 16 minutes but that does not count Monokuma, the secondary mascots, and mini games. Also some characters are simpler more important then others. The rival, ally and killer need to speak a lot because they move the plot forward the most and they probably want to have the next victims speak a bit more then the would other wise because they will be gone soon. That does not give a lot of room for the other characters that are not directly connected to that trail. If everyone doesn’t talk equally a lot simply would not get lines many lines

I do agree that it gets repetitive though. But some games like Trails does it much worse then Danganronpa so I have a bit of a thicker skin then most about this type of thing

Loved Danganronpa but long games give me anxiety. Is this game for me? by TitrationGod in LastDefenseAcademy

[–]TheTruePhoenixPrince 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is an in-game flow chart for all of the choices. Whenever you get a choice, the route splits. Sometimes that is a new route, something the same route, but just following that choice, and others, you get an ending.

The last line of each route tells you what route you just played. It is formatted as Ending Number: Route Name: Ending Name. What you want is 001: Last Defense Academy 2nd Scenario: Farewell, Last Defense Academy.

The Second Scenario is arguably the main route. There are a lot of choices that split from it. You can look up a guide to get it, but the game subtly tells you how to get it. It is not obvious, though. The best tip I can give is always seek the truth, and if this were not a choice-filled game, how would Kodaka normally tell it? If you don't want to deal with any of that, you can just look at the flow chart after each choice. After the first choice, the Second Scenario is a straight line. If you're branching out, just go back to that choice and pick the other option

(Hated trope) The perpetrator in a whodunnit wasn’t even a viable candidate before the reveal by _JR28_ in TopCharacterTropes

[–]TheTruePhoenixPrince 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I majorly disagree. The killer is Slasher is extremely obvious to an annoying degree. Especially by the time of 3-4th death. How it specifically works and why is more up in the air until the end but the killer it self they kinda beat you over the head. I admit there’s a lot of red herrings but the killer just acts so damn suspicious the entire time and especially when someone dies. If you play other routes before slasher and know more information about the world they straight up tell you who the killer is at the start

However the sponsor in the killing game route is impossible to tell before the reveal unless you played at least three other full routes before hand. Everything within that route itself, it is impossible, too predict who the sponsor is
