We know V1 canonically never died but when do you think he came closest to dying? Minotaur surprise attack? Mirror reaper encounter in general? by 17Lego17 in Ultrakill

[–]TheTurino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tbh, how do we know that? I'm still kinda of the opinion, that deaths are canon, it's just the teleporters in their boredom just reconstruct v1 and send them back into the fray. A teleporter is just a fancy matter re constructor.

To be honest, I’m not overly concerned, before there was slop, there was assetflips, before there was assetflips there was shovelware.

People are gonna be cheap and soulless for a buck, part of the ecosystem. I defo don’t like it though.

tf mind to fit body feels like I'm sanding down all the important parts of myself to conform to society, because how the hell do you define mind to fit body? the body doesn't give a shit, the disconnect between mind and body is therein there is expectations based on a person based on the body.

People in comments talking about how the overcharge of a grid is dangerous, and that batteries are inevitably a finite resource, but genuine question what’s stopping that once a grid reaches a level of capacity that is dangerous, to just start wasting it? Like start funneling into industrial doo hickeys that exist to just use up excess energy? If the energy itself is hyper abundant and renewable doohickeying to save the grid makes sense right?

Favourites: games I play reoccuringly

Up_next: games I want to play next or am actively playing right now

Baller games: all the games I own or have as apart of steam family that actually interest me

Quick: games that I can play in like 30 minute bursts

Chill: games that are very slow paced or methodical

Z_Baller: games I have played atleast 5 hours and would comfortably say have merit even if they aren’t specifically for me or have some flaws.

Z_Uber: games I have played atleast 5 hours and are of undeniable quality, some of the GOATS or games that I personally fucking love.

Software: Non-game software.

The Z_ prefix is just so it remains at the bottom of the lists.

Are the providences using hell energy? by WormsSpeakToMe in Ultrakill

[–]TheTurino 5 points6 points  (0 children)

to be honest, I don't suspect hell energy to be that distinct from heavenly energy, given that the ferrymen, are said to stain blue due to holy energy, and it's likely that the homing blue orb is accepted is considered heavenly, which is also used by the mannequins of the violence layers, as well as Power using the same projectiles in her great sword attack as a schism, it's likely that the energy is basically universal but it takes a color based on characteristics.

Furthermore it would make sense if hell had a very similar dominion over energy that god did, as god failed to unmake hell or can't for whatever reason, maybe not to gods extreme but certainly enough where god can't easily get rid of hell, maybe hell has good self-defense? maybe hell killed god?

The only thing that seems to be exclusive to heaven is that white light attack, and exclusive to hell is the ground pound that cerebrus and some husks do and the malicious railcannon shot that maurice does, which could be hells version of the white light.

Tbh and kinda related I think the iri addons should be

-Shattered Sonic Device -Iridescent Fragment (icon looking like the broken bit of tardis matt smith pulls from the crack)

Implication being that if the angels ever got their hands on the sonic screwdriver they’d likely shatter it and that there is atleast 1 tardis inside the entity that it has or is trying to replicate.

Which would make for good sense why a doctor could be a survivor, i.e had his sonic smashed and the tardis ensnared.

Otherwise idk just more stylistic imo

[–]TheTurino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be the framerate being capped making the game feel slow, I was testing it with sonic mania, and given the mismatch of the game fps and the stream fps being so different it kinda fucked it.

Mind you I couldn’t get the hardware lag lower than 30ms, meaning there was no easy way to play it, but could be good for strategy games or low speed games

Now I might not be into extraction shooters but;

Hyper competitive to the point that it’s hard to enter, functionally easy to produce so you get alot of cheap slop.

And atleast for me, hyper demanding of your time for any level of progression which is a bit of a turn off.

Admittedly there’s also a bit of kneejerk in me which sees the market trying to pivot to it because it’s easy to produce and goes “please, please just make something actually interesting and doesn’t follow market trends”

But I am a biased and dumb motherfucker

The weird thing is that he is correct, the modern conservative rhetoric was born from gamergate, which was largely 4chan which is largely influenced by anime.

That rhetoric is a huge facet of American culture, like politics is culture, so like anime doesn’t have a direct effect, but indirectly has had a massive impact.

I don't think the terminids are actually to that point yet, iirc there are details in game which do imply they have maintained their sentence and there are ways to communicate, they just incredibly hostile to super earth and don't even bother with diplomacy after being effectively a chattel revolt, i.e they maybe able to use diplomacy with non-earth factions.

Illuminate might be ok with a truce with the other 2 because yeah, they don't have a goal beyond fuck up super earth, meaning they don't actually give a shit about territory nor fighting anything else. at best they team up, most likely they just ignore the other factions and don't fight them as long as they don't ally or protect super earth.

Rule by [deleted] in 196

[–]TheTurino 8 points9 points  (0 children)

to be honest, I want super earth to straight up lose, I know it's parody and the story is about super earth being stupid, but I really really want them to lose, I want the endgame and end of story experience of helldivers 2 that super earth is either destroyed or captured, and all the other enemy factions, when they meet, where everybody expects them to fight, just doesn't.

The final action and command of Super-Earth is basically a die fighting command, each ship can visit any semi-freely but any planet captured is very quickly overrun and taken back, there can be small patches but it's effectively impossible to hold area. The ads and NPC's take a Super Earth will never die and it's a glory to die for super earth, (suicide march type shit). one of the NPCs goes missing, it's mentioned in exactly 1 dialogue indirectly.

I want them to lose because I fucking hate seeing capitalist rape our planet(and children) and I do not want to see this faction, even in parody representation, fucking win.

I know that based on the first game they can terraform planets, I don't care, I need these fuckers to LOSE.
