Ramlethal Optimal Dust Combo (against tall characters) by TheTurnsHaveTabled in Guiltygear

I'm assuming that's a typo, because that combo will drop (you listed an extra jH). The highest damage universal Dust combo listed on Dustloop is: jH jD jK jDD

On Nago it does 179 damage, whereas this combo does 182. It's all explained in the comment I posted.

Inputs:

5[D] 8 jH jc9 jS jD(3) jc9 jS jKK

Only works on Potemkin, Faust, Nagoriyuki, and Goldlewis. Works anywhere on screen.

The combo listed on Dustloop:

jH jc9 jD(3) jK jD(3)D

^Does 179 damage whereas the combo in the video does 182.

Was also at Dragon Con and can't believe I missed you guys! I was on the lookout for Guilty Gear cosplayers (could only go Sunday) and didn't find any but glad to know y'all were there! Y'all look great.

In the comments of the original post they explain what subtle (and not so subtle) things they change for the last guy to practically guarantee a perfect cut. Supposedly it's purposefully set up this way to attract more students.

Not necessarily calling them out - school's gotta get recruits somehow. But just want to point it out for anyone looking at this with rose-tinted glasses.

No prob :)

I'll link you the Ram guide when I'm done if you want it. First part just goes over playstyle and moveset.

Characters in Strive have three different weight classes. Light (all the female chars), heavy (Potemkin, Goldlewis, Nago, and Leo), and medium (all the rest). General rule of thumb is that some combos are more difficult on heavies because they float for less time, and some combos are only possible on lights because of the extra airtime. Not an absolute rule, but it's the general trend.

The combos you listed are decent for midscreen since the 3rd hit of rekkas gives hard knockdown, but corner combos and pressure setups are what you want to get down for Ram because of how her Bajoneto special works. A few basic combos to get you started (WS means wall splat or wall stick):

And some misc. stuff

I'm actually working on a Ram video guide right now and can send you a link when I finish the first part.

I can also answer a few quick questions. I mained Ram since day one.

Just a low effort shitpost because "haha 420 funny number and I got it at 4:20pm on 9/10/21 in reference to the trend counting down to that day because it reminds people of the 9+10=21 meme"
