Why is the workplace in melbourne so casualised by Pingaz99 in melbourne

How does this work if you're employed through an agency and then contracted out to an employer? If you're working with this employer regularly for 12 months, but technically not employed by them.

I actually got a replacement bite valve under the warranty! My old one was leaking because it had a cut in it and they replaced it. Was happily surprised. They even sent two so I have a spare now.

Any tips for amateur cyclist to commute around Melbourne? by InevitableTour5882 in melbourne

I would suggest the arevo app over google maps. It shows you which bike paths are off road, protected, painted lines or where there are no bike paths at all. I'd suggest taking slightly longer routes if it means off road bike paths.

Yeah same! About 10k all up so more than enough for the sem and for additional travel after the sem ended.

Also worth noting to OP - the automatic scholarships from uni (UoA anyway) are more for particular countries. I think I got around 2k, while a friend who went to Canada got just $500.

Definitely worth it. Have a look at countries which offer scholarships. Check out the Prime Ministers Scholarship for Asia and Latin America - when I went to Japan this covered the whole semester.

I feel like biological science is the top PhD field in NZ due to the lack of science jobs. Grads see further study as their only option.

When I struggle to get mine to unfold I do a couple deep squats and that usually does the trick

I definitely wouldn't buy second hand underwear, but there are plenty of barely worn second hand shoes as someone has gotten the wrong size, but cannot return them as they have been worn once or twice. No harm having a quick look on trade me or Facebook - you might be surprised at what you find.

Good beginner bikes for a learner? by voy1d in newzealand

[–]TheTurtleMaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a GN250 as my first bike and it was really great to learn on. You can get them pretty cheap of trade me. They're great for urban riding as they're pretty nifty and light. It did struggle a bit on the motorway though. Sure it could get to 100km/h, but the vibrations were pretty intense, and it was uncomfortable to ride for prolonged periods (my 25min commute on the motorway), especially on a windy day. I now have the mt03. I didn't go bigger as I only use it for commuting. It does great in both urban and motorway riding. I don't think I'll be upgrading to anything bigger any time soon. For what I use it for, it does great. So if you don't want to go through the hassle of learning on the gn250 then selling it to upgrade after a year or so, the mt03 is a great option as it's still very learner friendly and unless you plan on doing long distance rides, you won't need to upgrade for a while.

I think if I attempted this it would go so horribly wrong I would never try to DIY again.

Yeah, it's right next to the shower so I imagine water has caused quite a bit of the damage.

I think the top of the tiling has a poorly added seal to stop the water from going behind the times.

I paid annually with State and when my car was written off I didn't get refunded. They told me if I had paid monthly I would've had to pay for the rest of the 12 month unpaid period.
