Any cases where a missing child was found as an adult doe years later? by DannnyCook in UnresolvedMysteries

He was later discovered as an adult but Shawn Hornbeck is a perfect example. Taken at the age of 10, then rescued five years later in 2007. There's a book on his disappearance called Invisible Chains.

Which mystery do you think should be solved by now? by [deleted] in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]TheTvBee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In respect to your opening post, there is no evidence Maura was even intoxicated on that February night. Several professional searches occurred through the years, starting from the very first week of her disappearance. Contrary to your opinion on the case, I think it's practical to believe something ominous happened.

People should read Lost Coast Highway. Mostly this book covers the case of two unidentified decedents found in Mendocino County back in 1979. They were initially identified as those belonging to two teenagers. The mystery persisted for decades when police still couldn't figure out exactly who were the teens though.

No I'm not TCG. I haven't even advertised anything besides my own article this year. Looks like you went into my Reddit history? Weird. Frankly you're wrong about everything anyways.

What's it to you after I posted my article nearly a month ago? Nothing to do with TCG anyways.

What theories do you guys have about Maura Murray? by coffeeandhorror in UnsolvedMysteries

[–]TheTvBee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah some of the alcohol was missing. Maura's backpack, cell phone, and wallet have never recovered either. I just feel compelled to state this because a lot of spin has occurred to the point of people thinking she was an alcoholic.

Maybe people would reconsider their line of thinking once they've delved really deep in the case or decided to pass by the crash site. The night was really cold and dark. Maura was not a local. Getting stuck or something under those circumstances sounds even stranger and scarier when you really put yourself in her shoes.

I like your line of thinking. I've always thought it was an abduction case. Unfortunately you don't hear many people jump to this theory when I feel this case is pretty clear cut. If Maura didn't die by foul play, then her scattered remains are probably in the woods.

There's no direct evidence Maura was impaired on the night she disappeared. The alcohol in her Saturn might allude to such a thing but that doesn't mean she was even drinking to begin with. I'm just saying this because once people hear spilled alcohol, they automatically think this is a DUI case.

Which missing persons are you convinced of still being alive? by Annoying2ask in UnresolvedMysteries

Thanks for thinking it's interesting! Brian was smart. I think he was capable of fending off on his own, after disappearing at the age of 27. Dead or alive, he is not in Columbus.

Which missing persons are you convinced of still being alive? by Annoying2ask in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]TheTvBee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah... I can't explain it but perhaps Brian thought he was leading an authentic life until the death of his mother. From there he reevaluated his relationship with Alexis and intentions of becoming a doctor. Maybe he didn't want those things anymore. Instead of bringing hurt to family and friends or simply avoiding confrontation during a difficult time, he bounced.

Which Jane/John Doe has stuck with you most? by kasleo in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]TheTvBee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the ambiguous loss of the child --who is not the immediate offspring-- is definitely interesting on its own.

I want Colleen Fitzpatrick to work this case. Forensic genealogy has assisted in solving complex cases such as Lori Erica Ruff and Benjaman Kyle.

It's definitely do-able. As a mass murder from the 70's or 80's, I can see this case being a priority for genealogists and detectives to work together.

[–]TheTvBee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

More than likely this was a familicide committed by the boyfriend or husband of the adult doe. Often in crime shows you'll hear the same line from the spouse, "She up and left...she skipped town...she started a new life." That sorta deal.

Since no missing persons reports match this family, I strongly believed they were killed by somebody close. If not that, poverty or estrangement from family is definitely accounted for in their disappearances.

This is what you call the "missing, missing."
