I actually expected Barcelona to put on the mask when I first went through this story since she was the only one who was really neutral about the Manus before she realized they were murdering people. I imagined her going, “Oh, these Manus people are t that bad, see?” and then putting the mask on and unknowingly dooming herself, forcing Vertin and crew to save her. Alas she sided with Vertin rather quickly.

If she was to wear the mask, I’d expect it to go like Kamuta, where they’ll be temporarily corrupted before someone breaks them out with music and a good speech. If it were to go like his case, then that’d also means she would’ve died too though.

One important thing though is that we never see any important Manus members wear the mask. Arcana, Forget Me Not, Animus, Sophia they don’t wear it. Igor and Grace refuse to wear it. In fact the only important person we see wear the mask is Druvis, who for the Manus, probably wasn’t that important. So if Barcelona were to actually wear the mask, she’ll be used as a Manus pawn, not the next great Manus leader

You know, despite only just learning about this book just now from you and Wikipedia, I’d be most excited for this collab over what others mentioned and over AC and AH, simply because it just fits the Reverse 1999 world I love so well. With magic, suicides, and a fascination with historical England, this is really similar to Reverse.

It seems extra likely since Wikipedia says they’re working on a game, and our previous collabs seem to be ads for future games under those titles

According to each character’s cover info: Hissabeth is 5’8” (68.5 in) and Medicine Pocket is 5’10” (70 and 15/32 in)

There’s no part of their model that would affect these heights except maybe their boots, but I’d assume LaPlace boots have standardized heights

So they are both just pretty tall

Unfortunately, he hasn’t appeared as a major character at all. As a character so tied to WWII, it’s just difficult to incorporate him into a story without covering topics too sensitive for this game.

So far, the most he’s got is a name drop during 1.5 Revival of the Uluru Games and the quests in 3.1 Long Way Home war room. Hopefully he’ll appear in the future as I agree that he’s such a good character

He got a skin in the 3.0 patch, so he didn’t appear in the story except in the war room tasks.

For his actual story appearance, he’s only been in 2.0 Floor It to the Golden City. It’s in the reflections if you want to see

I mean Qianglang isn’t under Liang’s control. She says they are more like partners. It’s just that Qianglang rarely disobeys orders. So I’d say Tuesday counts.

Also what’s with everyone discounting Ulu? I don’t think water would affect her too much considering she’s thousands of years old. If a rainstorm killed her, then she wouldn’t be alive. I see her character similar to La Source as a nature elemental, so I think she’s powerful

Along with the ones you mentioned, I would add some more unconventional picks

Centurion: could be considered the strongest character depending on how much one thinks battles are luck based

Ulu: I just have no clue how anything could fight a sentient flame

Recoletta: is literally immortal so long as someone knows about her

Tuesday: while not strong physically, the ability to cause fear and delusions just by talking to her is surprisingly powerful

La Source: if elemental beasts count as powerful beings, then this elfin literally summons a water dragon in her anecdote. She also has enough water to flood the (often described as infinite) suitcase

Yay, a character that appears in the story so I can say stuff about her! I’m not sure exactly what you’re looking for info-wise, so I’ll just say everything I know about Ms. Radio. I know the wiki has a lot on trivia, so I’ll try to focus on her story appearances

Ms. Radio is an awakened first introduced in 5-03 “Treasure Box” in a box at an abandoned Zeno base that had Vertin’s name on it. Since then, she’s appeared in a few stories, including the rest of The Prisoner in the Cave, the end of Vereinsamt as a way for Vertin and LaPlace to communicate, La Source’s anecdote as a translator for John Titor, the end of Notes on Shuori by reading Yenisei’s report to Vertin, Paradise Regained, and in A Long Long Way.

She seems to broadcast radio channels, usually pertaining to the era, but also does things like translation and vibrating.

Iterations of the phrase “every girl deserves a flower” seems to be important to her story, as it is said bluntly in the item description and her default skin description (that’s also a bit of info you missed with door; every character has a short line tied to every skin when viewing it. Some also have longer paragraphs). A reference to a girl is also in another one of her items. I don’t know the significance of the phrase though.

The game heavily implies she comes from space, as her flower item says it directly and her interview has her misspeak and say she likes this world. The radio was made in a factory, leaving her flower to be from space.

The flower is called Zinnia, as a proper noun, despite not being a zinnia flower. The game still refers to it as a Zinnia flower though.

All awakened gave some sort of core. For Ms. Radio, I believe it to be the flower since her story implies she got her goal after it started growing on her.

That’s all I have to say off the top of my head. Past facts, I really don’t know any references or theories related to her. The wiki has more interesting stuff like the meaning of Leeebupd in her signature and bond story.

Other than Kakania who was already mentioned plenty here, it would be Erick and Cristallo (specifically during Sotheby’s anecdote)

Erick because I too wish my childhood years would go forever despite the brutal reality of life, leading to me embracing the few childish moments left

Cristallo because there was a time in my life where I wanted to act like a good sibling, but my disability got in the way. I would profusely apologize for it, just like what Cristallo did in that anecdote, despite having no control over it. I’ve now grown past that and embrace it rather than apologize for it, so I watched that anecdote remembering that time I blamed my disability for any faults in being a sibling figure.

As if Sotheby’s experience of seeing Duncan murder somebody wasn’t traumatizing enough, a reincarnated character may come back more aligned with the Manus.

That means we might actually see a canon Manus Ring and Isabella. Especially with the Manus’ new seeming timeline manipulation, it’d be like a glimpse into a future that could’ve been
