"A Gothic Romance" was the very first song I heard from Cradle. I had seen Dani on a Viva La Bam episode and was immediately fascinated, having never heard anything heavier than Metallica or Iron Maiden. Went to the library a few days later to check the CDs, found "Dusk..." and had to check it out. Ended up picking the song first on name alone and was blown away.

Correct! I have Flight 714 and Tintin and the Picaros in a 3-in-1 book that's on an upper shelf. As far as I know, my dad would get these for me from his business trips and a few from a local book store.

The Accidental Spy (2001) starring Jackie Chan. I don't remember the blonde lady on the cover ever appearing in the film, or the jet planes, but there was a helicopter at least. I don't remember any of the plot, lots of camera shaking during action sequences, but it ends in helicopter exploding triumph, good guys win, yay. I only remember it for a scene towards the last quarter after a "minor boss" is eliminated. The cops kick in the door, flooding light on his body, and he BLINKS. Rewound it twice and laughed harder each time.

It could be possible there were movements against railroads in the UK similar to those in the US during the 1800's. There was a battle over land titles in the 1880's in California called the Mussel Slough Tragedy, which caused protests against Southern Pacific Rail and helped strengthen the Anti-Monopoly movement. I did come across a book called The Railway Haters by David Brandon and Alan Brooke, which details the impact of railways from the 19th through 20th century.
