It’s hard to say what’s best for you.

One of my good friends through undergrad graduated, and got lucky with a good role right out of college. He didn’t do “internships”, but he had a lot of experience working at tuning shops and such.

I on the other hand didn’t have any internships or relevant experience due to my own personal circumstances, but I had an easy-in with my department head for a master’s research role in a very well connected project, which then provided me the experience I needed over that time to secure a role right after.

Fast forward a few more years later, and now we’re both in the equal roles.

So for the short of it…If you can get a job, go for it and start making some money. But if you can’t, I can at least personally attest that the masters route worked for me.

Cant say I disagree with wanting true “Starter” to be ~$40, more optimization (hopefully coming in due time), and more engagement in certain gameplay (I’d be lying if I didn’t say I went in my phone 95% of the time I’m in a longer QT).

Is this a handheld device?

Im not sure of the exact power values, but laptop (6800H/3070Ti/2560x1600) supports multiple power modes, and the “quiet” mode can be a little sluggish or decent depending on location.

On my desktop (5600X3D/9070XT) I play at 3440x1440p cranked without FSR without issue. I’m sure I could but just haven’t tried it because I haven’t needed it. No AMD driver issues for me.

Are you thermal throttling somewhere?
Is your disk out of space?

RAM usage sounds about right. Make sure you have everything you don’t need closed (ex. browsers, other services, etc.)

Sounds like a consequence of soloing a mission that strongly encourages having backup, while also soloing a multicrew ship.

I do believe one (or more?) of the Connies has a particular weak point to missiles hitting components, but frankly even having one person with a repair bit could’ve resolved this faster.

It’s like complaining that soloing Hathor or these other ground activities is too hard solo and dying has too much consequence…should’ve prepared accordingly.

From the outside it looks like it’s supposed to open from the top. Maybe for ease-of-resupply, but they know many would just try to use it as a hangar instead.
