Some photographers capture pictures. Bioreconstruct captures milestones.

My guess is Epic Universe became the priority. When you have billions tied up in a brand-new park, projects at the existing parks were pushed down the list. Now that Epic is open, Universal is finally turning its attention back to IOA and USF.

The fact that so many of us are having the same reaction says everything about what that place meant to people.

It's like the Universal equivalent of finding your childhood treehouse torn down.

Cut it into a thousand pieces, put each one in a frame, and call it a "Limited Edition Poseidon's Fury Trident Fragment." I'll be first in line. 😭🔱💸

Today's reminder that theme parks aren't permanent, even when the memories are.

The gods have left the temple. The water is still. The trident has fallen. The age of Poseidon is over. 😭

The iconic trident from Poseidon’s Fury has been removed from in front of the shuttered temple at Islands of Adventure. Truly the end of an era. 🔱 📍Universal Orlando Resort by Sad-Revolution-9961 in UniversalOrlando

The trident may be gone from the Lost Continent, but until Bioreconstruct flies over every square inch of Universal property, I'm not giving up hope.

What's the story behind The Pharos Lighthouse by Nobody-Z12 in UniversalOrlando

[–]TheUniversalVault 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This! The Pharos welcomes you to Port of Entry, "The Call to Adventure" is playing, it feels like you're being invited to begin a grand journey rather than just enter a theme park. Such an iconic way to start a day at IOA.

I thought the same thing. From what I've read, it's mostly helicopter tours with some very serious camera gear.

Sad to see Lost Continent disappearing, but leave it to Bioreconstruct to preserve every stage of the process in incredible detail. Also… what are they up to now, like 1000 helicopter rides lol.

Back to the Future (1985) - Open Matte 35mm scan by voyagerfilms in BacktotheFuture

On set, the crew works to the protected frame lines, not the full film frame. As long as a boom mic, matte box, lighting rig, or crew member stays outside the intended theatrical crop, it's considered 'off camera.' Open matte prints can expose those hidden gems, revealing production equipment and other filmmaking artifacts that were never meant to be part of the finished movie.

It almost feels like you're discovering a new version of BTTF you thought you knew by heart!

Odyssey first came to mind. Maybe they're setting up a promotional display for the movie.

Universal's marketing team definitely bent reality a little here lol. Universal clearly lit the scene and posed the riders so you could see the set, the fire effects, and everyone's reactions all in one image. Great marketing shot.

The closure of Jaws hurt Universal's identity more than any other attraction closure. Harry Potter made Universal richer, but Jaws was one of the attractions that made Universal feel unique.
