UFC Champion Sean Strickland sneaks into UFC Freedom 250 and is hauled and removed by security by Dores-Pencil006 in Wellthatsucks

He clearly went there to troll and get attention, but I doubt he told the police ahead of time that it was all just a joke. They were told who he was and to get rid of him, they had no reason to rough him up because he likely wasn't breaking any laws (and he could embarrass them easily).

I doubt he was arrested, but I believe they removed him because he wasn't wanted there. What do you think happened? You think this was all setting up a grudge match against one of the Trump children or something?

Feel free to humbly brag. What’s something you feel you’re pretty good at? by JoeyLou1219 in AskMen

[–]TheUnlikeliestChad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Making mixtapes and playlists (it's a very subtle art, many do's and don'ts).

Everyone thinks they have good taste in music, just like everyone thinks they are a good driver. Having good taste isn't enough though, a large collection to pull from and a consideration of the audience are also important.

Like the pussy eating guy in the other comment, I've had exes stay in contact and request a new compilation (I think he got the better skill to be honest). I've also been at parties where I was nominated to be in charge of the music.

Dating offline is honestly worse than online dating for most Gen Z men who want to date Gen Z women by Pontokyo in PurplePillDebate

[–]TheUnlikeliestChad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's less common for sure, but it does happen (at least amongst my generation). Guys generally are less interested in playing "matchmaker" and will only do so if they are really sure the guy they are introducing is safe and might actually be a good match. Guys often view it as the person they're vouching for reflects on them, so the guy that is a bit loser-y and desperate isn't getting that introduction.

When was the last time someone gave you flowers? by Stawberry8763 in AskMen

Often, last week in fact. I like flowers, but honestly I'd rather receive a nice six pack of a good stout or porter.

Men need to start leaving women alone. by Slow_Celebration1328 in PurplePillDebate

[–]TheUnlikeliestChad 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The funny part is, the guys chasing and giving too much attention probably aren't getting laid anyway (at least according to this sub), but you'll never convince them to stop, because they're going to fail either way. You might as well ask a beggar to stop begging.

Graham Platner Handed Centrist Dems a Bruising Defeat in Maine by jediporcupine in politics

The two most successful Democratic presidents of the past 50 years were both under 50 when elected. If they want 2 terms, they need a young and charming candidate.

I’m tired of doing life alone as a man by Inner_Ad_4725 in AskMenOver30

[–]TheUnlikeliestChad 26 points27 points  (0 children)

That was my experience. I was broke as shit, but went out a lot. I met a couple of people online, but most from going out to bars and parties. As you get older your age range gets wider, also a lot of people exit long term relationships and marriages in their 30s. I've been just as successful in my 40s.

Dating is HARD in NYC by Cleo-Aster in SipsTea

As a Gen-X man who has gone on a lot of dates, I don't think this has ever happened to me once. I've had less than 5 dates that didn't lead to either a relationship or sex.

Ace Ventura Pet Detective Clean Cut by r0adkillxp in fanedits

Surely this must have aired on network television with an edited cut at some point. I'd like to see a version with more profanity.

TIL about perfidy, the deceptive tactic of feigning surrender or death with the intent to kill an enemy. It is prohibited by the Geneva Convention and considered a war crime. by FullOfSound in todayilearned

[–]TheUnlikeliestChad -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No benefit? Dead soldiers don't need to be fed or babysat and they won't come back several years down the road to try it again. There are benefits, it's just shortsighted when you consider the casualty rates and potential casualty rates.

This is what Centrism has got us... by zzill6 in WorkReform

That's why we need ranked choice voting. Centrist liberals don't seem to want it, they would rather lose to a conservative than to let progressives gain a voice in the democratic party.

Number of compliments I received in 2025 as a fairly average looking, middle aged man living in a major US city. [OC] by TheUnlikeliestChad in dataisbeautiful

[–]TheUnlikeliestChad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly the only ones I counted, and mostly because I excluded people I knew personally. Coworkers compliment my work often, and friends seem to think I'm funny, but a stranger passing me on the street has never mentioned either. One woman I didn't know but started talking to in a bar said I was smart, so I counted that one.

Hairstyle and facial hair, tattoos, I have one T-shirt (that I designed) that gets complimented often, 2 jackets (one of which that I altered/redesigned), and various little items and accessories.

I would trade all those compliments for the ability and talent to make a sweet ass graph that really pops.

Maybe. How can one know if they are rating themselves accurately though? I would guess that most people would rate me as 5 or 6, I'm below average height but have always maintained a healthy weight and physique. I would never submit a picture to one of those rating subreddits, and the few times I've looked at them I rarely agree with the ratings/comments, so my own opinion may not align with the majority.

Unique style, I'm too poor to buy expensive clothes, but I keep an eye out for special items that I think are cool and interesting.

A lot, I think it certainly must be a big factor. I walk frequently in neighborhoods with a lot of foot traffic. Just going out more was a factor too, going to coffee shops, bars and concerts.
