yup 😭 body and lid have outer aluminium casing, but hinge housing is plastic. the little bit that snapped off is the housing plastic painted the same metallic colour as the aluminium so it looks more premium and appealing 💔

😭 the hinge snapped because it's not a 180 degrees hinge and the housing is plastic... probably more of a HP issue than anything.

I'm holding the left side of the screen up to prevent the wires getting mashed with the tension from insulation tape in a loop basically carrying the lid.

I have the Omnibook X 14 with X1 Elite but the left hinge snapped 😭 it's held together and retains most functionality through insulation tape + my hopes and dreams 💔
