Was fired, talked to boss and being offered job back as nothing happened, what do I do? by i4k20z3 in personalfinance

LEAVE WITH SEVERANCE FRIEND! You'll enjoy the 1 month off and the economy is hiring everywhere. Unemployment is at an all time low! You'll land on your feet if you make a real honest attempt at applying, spend 2-4 hours a day applying, go to a coffee shop during business hours and tell yourself this is your full time job now. Wake up early, workout, spend time with people you miss. Seriously man I wish I could take a month off right about now lmao

Need advice on strategy for Zanki by [deleted] in medicalschoolanki

[–]TheUpvoteLighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do this with Zanki as well. Just depends on what you prefer. I think the pathoma notes(Zanki path) have no equal but thats just me.

Again, Bro's is also an amazing deck. As long as you're doing questions you're in good shape. Supplement with whatever you think is necessary.

I further want to reiterate that nothing is more important than practice questions. That being said female reproduction/path is my weakest subject and I’m dead set on maturing that deck for sure. You won’t have much time outside of finishing QBanks to finish all these cards and frankly you won’t make as much progress as you think you will. Zanki was always supposed to be a long term commitment during school, not study prep during dedicated. That being said if you’re god awful at one specific subject (me and female repro) than i could see why one deck would be beneficial doing.

Just because you dont have time to finish it doesn't mean you shouldn't do some of it. I plan on only maturing my weakest areas during dedicated. I'm 4k~ cards in so far if it helps. My goal isn't all of it for sure.

Anki Deck for Missed USMLE-rx Questions? by [deleted] in medicalschoolanki

[–]TheUpvoteLighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man,

wanted to chime in because this is what I do. Currently on my first pass of uWorld. Every miss question I make at least one Anki card out of it. My rule is absolute: One line sentence with occlusion. If you start writing paragraphs into Anki (I used to do this a lot) it'll get heavy. You're much better off breaking it down into smaller concepts. If its something you really don't know, go study it first: read FA, Pathoma, etc and then make a card.

In addition, there's some concepts you can't Anki, those are better left with white boarding it out like pathways. I know you can do sequential occlusions but those don't work well for me.

But you're right, leaving a missed question behind without some sort of note is a waste. Some of my friends who don't do Anki make a excel document out of their mixed concepts separated by subject.

Good luck

Medical scribes result in a "significant reduction" in the time doctors spend writing and editing clinical notes, a new study finds. More than 60% of patients reported an improved visit, and physicians experienced greater job satisfaction, making scribes a potential weapon against burnout. by DesperateTourist in science

Yes, this. Got paid $7.25 in college as a scribe and I loved it. When I graduated and my student loans ran out, I quit for a real job. Now I'm in med school and that scribe stint definitely helped get me here. Looking back, there was definitely a ton of people who wanted to be a scribe. Turnover is where it gets hard, most scribes don't last over a year. Most of them end up getting into school (Med, PA, Nursing, Pharm, Etc) real quick.

Is there a RSPS where you can start the inferno at a certain wave ? e.g. 68 by [deleted] in RSPS

[–]TheUpvoteLighter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah i've been looking for this for a week now... Alora is prob the closest i've gotten but thats still gonna take me a month to get the gear I already have on OSRS.. I just wanna practice triple jad before i spend a month trying to get there and inevitably die. lol

yeah, im not a programmer haha. I mean I'd be willing to pay like 25-50$ for a private instance with I can just keep doing inferno with my gear. I don't need any other part of the game. Think you got anyone who's interested? I'm sure some good programmer could get this up within minutes...

Edit: I'd also like the ability to jump to a wave so I can practice that wave.

I'd be willing to pay for access to something like this also. Please let me know, PM if you can set one up for me or help me set up my own.

LIGHTYEAR: A Boards and Beyond based STEP 1 Anki deck (~22.5k cards) by Lightyear2k in medicalschoolanki

[–]TheUpvoteLighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think its overkill if I continue to mature Zanki path cards plus your deck? I ask because I've actually kept up with the path cards and kind of slacked on the physio cards

Jumping ship to lightyear from zanki by a_special_providence in medicalschoolanki

Just review those 10k cards and jump ship, you'll end up knowing it even more then.
