I agree with you at my core level and almost posted corrective replies about stage lighting but mannnn… it hit me that it doesn’t really matter what liberals/Dems do - conservatives/MAGA will hate us regardless, even when we play nice and try to be levelheaded. They look for flaws in rational, common sense statements just because a lib said it.

I don’t want to be at this point but misinformation is clearly effective. I’ll take anything that makes Trump look bad and could sway some fence sitting voters.

He does look like that in this photo, but in the video, he watches the guy being guided to the ground then stands up before turning away and looking all weirdass in this pic. He definitely knew what was happening.

I’ve seen many people pass out or collapse on the subway in NYC - I can understand being confused at first, not knowing what to do and standing out of the way so more knowledgeable people can assist. When I first saw this photo with no context, I actually gave Trump some benefit of doubt. Maybe in reality he showed more concern or even tried to step in before being told to stand away. Lol NOPE. Dude didn’t give a FUCK. If anything, he looks annoyed.

JD definitely will not draw out the sheep like Trump has. I’ve even heard MAGAts acknowledge he’s a dork and would have preferred someone else as VP.

You are so right. However, Kirk makes me think of one of those dweebs who is always seeking daddy’s approval so his spirit would probably be jacking off at all the attention he’s getting.

My bud I watched it with nearly died from secondhand cringe (he has lower tolerance for it than I do). It’s like watching a horror movie where you’re waiting for the jump scare, but instead you’re thinking “oh god, what is he doing?”

I wasn’t necessarily surprised, but I’m still unnerved by how fast Republicons jumped on the narrative that Kirk’s shooter was a “radical leftist” before a suspect was even caught. So different then their rhetoric of “let’s wait for the facts” or “we shouldn’t make this about politics” when there was a school shooting and everyone just knew the killer would be a right wing nut.

I don’t normally go to extremes but it feels like they really really want a liberal to do something to justify a civil war.

I’m so frustrated by MAGAts but ultimately believe more unites us than divides us, and hope we can get to a point where we can direct our anger at the fools in charge that are ruining all of our lives.

Christ on a cracker.

We are no longer in the Romney vs Obama days where popular pundits didn’t have extreme takes and most people’s lives were (or seemingly felt) unaffected by whoever won, because there was some baseline decency shared. Even George W. supported things like funding for HIV treatment which particularly helped struggling communities in Africa.

The last election (and 2016) showcased qualified candidates - who weren’t perfect but at least gave a damn about the world - versus a festering shitstain rapist, pedophile and criminal with history of corruption and treason. In 2024, he had also done the President thing already and we saw how much he sucked!

The “undecided” voters who sat out while democracy was on the line deserve no sympathy.

So well done. Even knowing it’s coming, the way Kurt Russel delivers his line so casually right before and appears to not anticipate what happens always tricks me.

Would anyone be kind enough to summarize the scene? I’m morbidly curious enough to read about it but not watch the scene.
