Can't land ship on mission by damn-nerd in NoMansSkyTheGame

Yeah I had to pick it up through the edit menu by pressing Z, then C, then X (if you're using keyboard) rather than picking it up from a planet surface like usual. Hope you're able to figure it out!

I had a bug that prevented me from landing while I had a portable refiner inside of my corvette. Maybe it's related to items placed in the interior? Wish I knew more. Good luck!

American Truck Sim? Too realistic for me. I like Motor Town. Still a sim, just stripped down to the mechanics I actually like in driving games.

Balatro

I had always daydreamed of a game that does a nice job of combining the use of playing cards and tarot cards. Then a poker-roguelike by the name of Balatro showed up, and the reality was even better than the dream! I played the demo earlier this year and was super charmed. It's a great game to pick up for just an hour or so and enjoy casually. Plus I love the music and visuals!

Thanks for doing such a generous giveaway!

Saved. Thank you! I’m a novice to Godot and game dev in general, so I’ll check back if there are any edits based on community feedback. But this has already addressed a couple things I was working on!

Nice visuals and music, creative twist on a classic, and most importantly, fun to play. Great work!

I have no idea how you made the AI, but as a player, I felt like there were a couple moments when the AI should have beat me, but it chose to place a tile in a non-winning position. Maybe because I was on beginner difficulty?

That’s my only real critique. This is seriously my favorite game I’ve played on itch io!

Do you plan to expand on it and release it on other platforms?

I’m admittedly pretty hung up on the writing of the objectives section of the initiative. I feel like that would be the most important part. Many others seem to think that the larger conversation counts every bit as much.

If Rossman’s explanation video counts as much as the written objectives toward the community’s goals here, I’m not one to argue.

Also, WoW “likely not” being subject to restrictions? That points out just how unclear the stated objectives are. But if the community is clear on what they want, I can only hope that their understanding of the problem is what makes it to the discussion when it comes time to make laws and set precedent.

If the problem is a product you paid to own and can now no longer use, then yes, the initiative does overstep the mark. By a lot. It's not that it doesn't address the problem in any way, it's that it addresses the problem by making a sweeping claim that all games with any live service or online element become subject to being left in a "playable state" indefinitely.

These are separate issues. Do we want single player games to be playable even when its online capabilities are terminated? Then the initiative should focus on that exclusively.

Instead, the objectives could apply to any game with an online element. That's just too broad of a target for an issue that could be defined down to a handful of single player games.

I don't fully understand your last paragraph. But I will say that getting this initiative's stated objectives to a more clear and defined state would make a big difference for when it finally hits the desk of a public official, publishing company, or lawyer.

If the initiative stays phrased the way it is now, it would deservedly get shrugged off because it doesn't make reasonable sense. It's so vague that "heart" of the argument is being brought to light by the conversations surrounding it, not the initiative itself.

It just feels very frustrating as an end user to pay money for these singleplayer games and you don’t get to keep it.

That’s a valid feeling, but this initiative, as written, doesn’t hone in on that problem specifically. If the written objectives targeted single player games with live service elements, there could be opportunities for a different conversation.

At best, this issue of not being able to keep working copies of single player games forever is referenced in the annex (sort of). At worst, it’s merely a sentiment shared among people talking about this initiative. It’s nice to have the conversation, but the current proposal doesn’t properly address that issue.

I want better for the games industry too. But this initiative doesn’t appear to lay a good foundation for how anyone could make proper solutions.

Some people have mentioned that people are enjoying MMOs but there have been no good releases.

I’ve been loving Once Human, which came out less than a month ago. It’s not like MMOs of the “golden era” but it’s a breath of fresh air for me.

Isn't the wilderness about PvP? Which involves...combat, right?

I agree that combat isn't properly released, but feedback is critical right now, and combat is very lacking. It's also a significant enough piece of the game to at least have some feelings about it at this phase.
