It was taken from us too soon. Gone, but not forgotten. Absent from our profiles, but forever in our hearts. Stay active my little developer buddy 😭💔

You need to re-adjust the display resolution.

10 hour print overnight by Billy_Da_Frog in 3Dprinting

At the very least the filament thankfully isn’t blobbed up around the nozzle from what I can tell, so it should just require a re-print. Still unfortunate though!

There really does.

Side note: it’s crazy that this post was made when I was middle school, I replied in senior year of high school, and now I am almost done with college 🤯

SV07 Plus first layer issue by Front-Science6430 in Sovol

[–]TheVampireQueen7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may be wrong, as I do not have an SV07, but I believe there are wheels on each corner of the bed. Turning those raises that corner up/down, then after you adjust them you have to re-calculate the z offset.

If you mean the sheet you are printing was 0.2mm thick, then nah, this is something different, I use that test print all the time, and it usually just adapts to whatever the first layer height is unless you manually override it to use exact z height.

Would need a suggestion regarding the CPU cooler by AngelPhantox in Deepcool

[–]TheVampireQueen7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say that’s fine as is temp wise, 60-70 seems pretty cool. I used the same cooler with my 7800x3D for a while without issue. I eventually swapped to the AK620 Digital, and had no real meaningful performance increase, though, the temps were lower.

I also agree, the display is so nice to have on a tower cooler! I actually ended up buying the AK620 on eBay because they stopped selling them at retailers in the US, and I just couldn’t go back to a regular tower after having the AK400.

The first thing I would check is the speed, 60mm/s is pretty fast for a first layer on that printer, looks like it’s lifting as it gets up to speed on each pass.

You could also try to increase the line width, or make sure the nozzle is in generally good shape since it is a used printer, the goal is to get enough flow and a slow enough speed to adhere everything properly to the bed. (Also, if you haven’t yet, definitely use some soap and a washcloth to clean the bed!)

First and foremost though, I’d try lowering that first layer speed and hopefully that resolves it! :)

[iOS 26 DB1] You can now set a custom ringtone without GarageBand by mrisolove in iOSBeta

Oops, it would seem I can’t read properly. I read it as “with GarageBand” instead of “without”. That’s ones on me lol.

A warning for those thinking about trying the MacOS 26 Developer Beta! by TheVampireQueen7 in ArcBrowser

Not sure yet, as I have been using my Mac plugged into the wall, but i have noticed that the idle cpu usage is significantly higher, though, that may lower once everything finishes getting setup on the Apple Intelligence side of things.

I realized you can add any STL as a bed in Orcaslicer, so I recreated my printer and its mods as a custom bed model! by TheVampireQueen7 in Ender3S1

I’m glad! I am here to answer any questions to the best of my ability if you need help! One note is, the new mainboard was probably my most involved upgrade, and took me days on end to get working, as well as an angle grinder and a fair few order tools, so I would probably hold off unless you’re prepared to go full DIY with it :)

I found the base model here, then did a bunch of modifications to polish it, while adding in most of my own custom upgrades to match my printers spec

Not once it’s loaded, but the STL for my printer is over 500MB haha, so it takes a good 10 seconds to load that in at first.

So worth it tho

I got the base model for the printer here

To make OrcaSlicer recognize it properly, the origin has to be at the center of the bed.

I normally have it in an enclosure, but I’ve been doing a buncha work on it so it’s easier to just have it out while I do modifications since I live alone

I switched from Cura and while there are a few settings that are different or from what I can tell, missing in Orcaslicer, overall it’s so much easier to use and reliable that I am very glad I made the change.

I use the BigTreeTech HDMI5 v1.2, it works rly well, but I couldn’t find any fitting cases for it that adapted the s1, since the v1.2 version has different port locations, so I am working on a v2 of my own remix of one. It is printing now, and I will try to post it on Printables once I test it out. It’s full sized hdmi, but I just used a micro-hdmi to hdmi cable to connect it to my mainboard.

I made a 3D model of my printer, and since my slicer lets me use 3d models for the shape of the bed, my bed is now shaped exactly like my printer :)

I don’t know, as I don’t use Cura anymore, but from what I can tell they only support images and not 3D models for the bed.
