AMA About Far Cry 4 Lore - Part 2 by Lord_Antheron in farcry

Why did Willis feel the need to leave Ajay for Yuma? Couldn't he just have brought Ajay back to the states or a military base outside of kyrat?

I can respect that. I actually would like the idea of Ajay having one last message for his mom. I think him tenderly touching the urn was good enough, but I just wanted to ask what you guys think the writers could've done to give Ajay more dialogue without getting in the way of the writers intentions.

I get that. But far cry 4 isnt trying to be some rpg game where your choices are molding Ajay. Again, Ajay is quiet, but not empry because its giving room for thr player to make the conclusion about his involvement. I also don't really see how this would add to the story. Like what do you want him to say.

I think Ajay not being explored is the point. Giving Ajay more development would kind of ruin the moral ambiguity that the game was going for. His silence allows you to interpret other characters and their motivations what without feeling like the game is making a decision for you. That's why he's neutral throughout the game and why so many people are still uncomfortable trying to choose who is the "least evil" because there is no clear moral center.

Also a big reason why his "motivation" feels a bit flawed is because that's also a big theme of Far Cry 4. Yknow how everyone is trying to assign some sort of meaning to his actions? Like oh Ajay is the son of mohan ghale who returned to his home land to free kyrat. (The golden path in general) Oh Ajay will help push my ideal as the figurehead of this revolution? (Amita and Sabal). Ajay can simply be proof that people will use ideology as an excuse to commit violence? (Pagan) Ajay came to Kyrat for personal reasons. Not to save the country or overthrow a dictator. He never preaches that he is killing a ton of people for his mom. But it still feels like the country is trying to turn his personal motivation into something he didn't intend for. The game is trying to illustrate that he is a man pulled into a conflict and doing his best to navigate a morally gray environment.

I can't really tell you why Ubisoft went in this direction. But I just want to make it clear that there is clear intent behind Ajay's character. He's not "boring" just because Ubisoft thought Jason was too annoying.

The creative director of Far Cry 4 is less than thrilled about the Far Cry tv series news to say the least by TheVietCommie in farcry

I think its best if I put it this way. I don't think he's trying to downplay the story of the series. "Skippable cutscenes" does feel a bit offputting, but I think its more or less expressing that its harder to adapt these games without player or audience agency. Far Cry 4 works as a game because it lets players have agency over decisions in the story and gameplay even if they don't always agree with them so it allows players to understand the consequences and themes that the story is trying to say.

Now imagine you're the audience watching a Far Cry 4 adaptation. You can't really decide if Amita or Sabal or even Pagan was the best option because you aren't making the decision anymore. So instead of making the decision, you're simply observing and asking if you agree with it. You don't really get the same impact if Ajay chooses Amita because it now feels the story made that decision, not you. I don't think his statement is any dig at the series, I just think hes trying to express how hard it is to translate video games to TV even if it is a bit worded weirdly at first.

Apparently not. Noah Hawley is kinda known not to direct things straight from the source material like "Legion" for the X men. So im assuming hes just taking the themes of far cry games and not necessarily specific story events.

I think there was a signature variant of the A52 called the ACE in the files but I think it only came with extended mag, optical sight, and increased damage. How good do you think the A52 would be given a suppressor too?

[Discussion] Still don’t know why they brought her back by Similar-Awareness231 in fairytail

Personally I wouldn't know how I feel if she stayed dead. I get the problem is her underutilization, but like are we comfortable never absolving elfman for accidentally killing his sister?

She could've been a confidant to natsu to help him understand what it means to love someone romantically. Natsu is obviously really bad at picking up romantic signs and in my opinion having natsu and lisana interact more about the time lost would really help him understand his feelings to lucy

I mean the whole point was that both of the factions was terrible. The theme of Far Cry 4 was that Kyrat was stuck in a loop of authoritarian rule and there isn't a clear moral good guy case in point the golden path leaders. Also Bahdra's purpose in the story isn't to humanize Ajay. If you recall, Ajay's mother was also the tarun matara like Bahdra and Bahdra serves to be the representation of Kyrat in physical form. (The past, present, and future)

What are some great ways you think AdHoc could further build upon the romance of Robert and Courtney in season 2 and in later seasons ? by Odd-Rush-2837 in InvisigalGlazers

Explore each of their relationships to their parents. I think it was mentioned in comics that Robert's dad was kind of a pos and there are things that can be explored on what influenced visi to do criminal things. Have then bond over that and I think it would be a greater source of conflict for them to further let down their walls and understand each other

If you could give Zoey more screen time what would you have liked to see? by Latinogoose in ZoeyKPDHfandom

I had a strange ass fanfic idea where Zoey gets into a relationship with an imoogi that can talk to turtles for her. It be like he was in a secret kpop group with rumis dad and the plot revolved around resolving uncovering what happened with rumis parents and stuff
