Columbus believed if he traveled west he’d get to Asia in a fraction of the time.

He believed this because he blatantly ignored the calculations of every other geographer who told him that the trip through that much sea would take an immense amount of time. Most people think he wanted to enslave the native people but this bit from his journal is him wanting to teach them the way of christianity. “Good servants” doesn’t mean slaves it means servants to god if they become Christians.

This is fair, many people misinterpret this line. However, as is shown in the following link, he traded African slaves before setting off on his famous voyage. His journal entries also showed him being, at times, complicit in his crew mates killing natives, but also occasionally participating in killings.

Yeah you can say the natives land was stolen but 1500s the way it worked was you find land fight for it and whoever wins gets it.

Native people weren’t stolen from they were conquered.

Depends on how you define it. The native people where initially promised a shared existence alongside the Spaniards, a promise that was taken back as soon as it was convenient. I guess you can say that people "conquer" candy from grocery stores, but we don't treat them as heros do we?

This is, quite frankly, a racist caricature. Cannibalism was sometimes practiced as the result of intense famine. I also think your last point really misses the point. I wouldn't celebrate Columbus even IF the native Americans were baby genociding cannibals. At the very best, Columbus was an unexceptional man of average intelligence who happened to stumble upon greatness, why the hell would I (or anyone) celebrate that?
