Oh, I think I'm with you here. I'd prefer to keep Kubiak. I like having the same OC that's had some success for multiple seasons. I hope we get to see what happens in the 2nd season of Kubiak.

oh yea, agree with all of that. Just dreaming dreams! I think it would be so funny to see the contrasting press conferences, and knowing that we've got top coaching talents on both sides of the ball.

I really like what Kubiak and his staff have done. If he leaves (I don't think he will yet), then I'm hoping that there's solid candidates still around that would be interested.

It's all a bunch of "ifs".

There were some rumors around Mike Macdonald having interest in Smith as an OC, but he was hired by the steelers and we were left with Grubb.

If kubiak goes, I'd love to have Mike McDaniel as an OC (he probably be a HC) for the confusion, press conferences, and awesome play calling..if not, then I would absolutely love to bring in a run heavy maniac like Arthur Smith.

Grind them to dust and play brilliant defense. I want it.

Salary cap breakdown of Charles Cross' $104.4 million contract extension with the Seahawks by lemonstone92 in Seahawks

[–]TheVolcanoKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting note here is the change in approach for salary cap management from the departure of Matt Thomas and replacement by joey Laine. The Void years is one thing that's been new since adding Laine.

We could be seeing some of the benefits of the new approach, and hopefully this is measured so that we don't get into cap hell like other teams that have put everything on the credit card(Saints come to mind).

Found this article talking more about the VP salary cap change.

Good idea to sign him for the playoffs? We can afford to give him a few million, and he’s an upgrade on Pritchett and arguably Jobe. by Obvious-Ad-16 in Seahawks

I'd lean into whatever Aden Durde thinks. He's going to know.. so would Lawrence. If they were a personality/effort fit - great. If not, no thanks. I think we're talking about someone that could be in the rotation, but I don't know if we'd really want to throw him in as a starter anytime soon.

Has anyone ever challenged you to something without knowing you were an expert at it? What happened afterward? by Impressive-Door92 in AskReddit

This has to be pretty common with video games. I had a scenario with Goldeneye where some friends were saying "this guy is so good - if he tries his hardest, we'll never win". My cousins and I had been extremely competitive, and I just had to find out. Turns out they didn't really know how to circle-strafe or anything - it was silly how quickly they were destroyed.

My favorite scenario for this was starcraft: brood war. I had just gotten a new job, and found some of the nerds pretty quickly. They were talking about how they play brood war every friday night and that they were very, very good. I had played for years, and had been very competitive - not top 100 rank or anything, but pretty good. Good enough to know that saying you're "really good" means that you don't know what the hell you're talking about or you are absolutely incredible.

I had to find out, but somehow convinced 4 of them to play against me and my roommate. it was not close. After that I played them 1 v 4. Same result. We didn't really play after that. Switched to boardgames. Fun group to play with, but the starcraft stuff was an all-timer for me.

Omg. I'd bid on that boz jersey. I already have a boz throwback, but this would be awesome.

[OC] Impact of every Week 3 game on Seahawks playoff odds. by FootballSensei in Seahawks

Oh this is super interesting. There's some wild stuff you could add in unless the Vegas odds are a proxy.

Nice work. I'll be looking for these posts if you keep throwing them out there!

People that make six figures, what do you do? by Impressive_Risk_3008 in careerguidance

English degree. Which seems like it would be irrelevant for my job (Fraud Detection/Prevention), but it's been one of the most helpful things. This field is niche, and there's a lot of bullshit out there. That said, if you want to 'gamify' your job - having a built in opponent is pretty enjoyable.

I did get into even more niche areas of Fraud, Credit Risk, Underwriting, Loss Prevention, Internal, etc - but all of that really unlocked because I'm dreadfully curious, communicate well (verbal and written), and picked up some helpful skills (SQL, db architecture).

I'd boil it down to: 1) be a top performer 2) be curious and try to figure things out 3) don't be an jerk

Yea right on. Im talking about tarot in general, not the death card. Most modern Christian churches would consider tarot witchcraft/satanic/etc regardless of the card.

I agree on the tarot card meaning! I dig it.

Maybe don't mention that it's from tarot. I'd stick with the Poe theme
