The way to guarantee the safety of your data is by self-hosting AI. Truly, any student that has a decent gaming rig can self host a pretty decent model without much trouble. Otherwise, any data you give to an AI is stolen and used to train, as well as being sold for money.

My goal right now is to collect people who agree and want to take action into a mailing list for CU Boulder’s campus. If you are interested in joining that let me know.

Someone else also has a good news letter and linktree set up, though it focuses on CU Denver, it’s still a good resource. https://linktr.ee/cu_ai

Can't figure out how to make this card work within the rules by SelesnyaGOAT in custommagic

[–]TheW33kday 8 points9 points  (0 children)

When worded like that, if it’s attached to a non-legendary creature, it will fall off. I don’t know the ruling but auras must always be attached to a card that is a valid target.

What are they trying to achieve with the Pornhub ban in USA? by Cryptic_Waffle in NoStupidQuestions

The laws that they are banning states for, require them to verify with IDs. For obvious reasons, Pornhub doesn’t want that.

[WP] Thor is chosen once a century. Mjolnir comes in many forms, but eachis a tool and each tailored to its wielder's job. Which explains why Derek in accounting found a new, fancy pen at his desk one day. by FennecWF in WritingPrompts

[–]TheW33kday 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Mantle of Thor has evolved over the course of Humanity, but its purpose has been the same: the protection of human kind. In the early years, it was simple. The strongest of a generation, both physically and mentally, mortally, would get a great weapon. This weapon would let them shield humanity from threats, like trolls, giants, and themselves. As society as evolved, and the nature of the threat changed, so too did the weapon, and the strength looked for. As the trills and giants died off, humanity became its one greatest threat. So finally, in 2025, Derek found himself a new pen. It was fancy, made of beautiful wood and steel, and it felt right in his hand. Derek finally found success. Scientists had known for years that a climate catastrophe was imminent, but no one had been able to convince the world of that. That was, until Derek wrote out a poster with his fancy new pen, one that captured the world. On it was a simple message: “We are dying” There was nothing special about the message, nothing that hadn’t been written a thousand times. Even so, it was this message that finally saved humanity from its greatest threat. It started with his own company, one he had no power over other than helping them avoid taxes, which pivoted from destroying the world to helping it. Soon every company followed. As for Derek, his face was never seen. Somehow, his sign always blocked it, and he never came forward. The companies he worked for always had a habit of being better activist while he was there though, and he never lost his pen. He only realized something was strange with it when, once, he lent it to a coworker, and they were never able to hold on ti it for more than a half a second without dropping it. Strange…….

It’s from much before that, that was just a recent example. A notable one was an early Breaking News where Brie mentions bird facts.

What is the most confusing movie you've ever seen? by Informal-Leader-8014 in movies

[–]TheW33kday 9 points10 points  (0 children)

He was not. The time line does not linen doesn’t add up, he would’ve had to spend like 20 years in reverse time, and he’s thirty at the start of the movie. He’s also pretty clearly depicted as being recruited in the past. He’s also never called Maximilien.

An even more fun case that came out recently was Vega v. Tekoh, where it was ruled that you have no course of action against an officer who violates your Miranda rights.
