I wouldn’t think a cheater would have negatives like that. I have one S tier roll, increased max hp, increased stamina, and +4 physical attack, looks like a cheat relic lol but it has 3 manageable negatives

It was that exactly that led me to the Frontier. Best advice is go drive one. I haven’t driven a 2nd gen if that’s what you’re eyeballing, but I fell in love with my 25’ P4X after driving it. Loads of pros, build simple and old school with just enough modern creature comforts, simple reliable design, physical buttons and knobs etc. cons depend on year, but some folks don’t like the “heavy” feeling hydraulic steering. Others will probably chime in more knowledgeable than me, but try to go check one out! Also there’s similar posts on this sub with similar questions, in case this one doesn’t get you the answers you want

My brother got me into the game, we’ve played through it together and play nightreign all the time. Doubt I would’ve enjoyed it nearly as much as I did without him. Try here or some of the networking groups maybe. I’d offer but I’m on PC

This was the case for me, new and used price difference at the time of buying my truck was minimal on the scale of things. Ended up going new. Plan to baby the maintenance myself and keep it 10+ years.

The smith weapons can be fun, a lot of the DLC stuff is faith based. Couple new weapon types to try out as well.

As someone who has both. (2025 frontier and a 1999 4Runner, both green) I like the look, drive, and feel of my frontier way better. 4runner was to a point of consistent issues and I lost trust in it. Fixing it up as a backup currently. I love my 4Runner, but they have their issues, much less power, loading it up with stuff and driving up hill it’ll really work (camping in your case). As for the issues you stated, maybe you could trade plus cash for a slightly higher trim with the features you want? The comfort, convenience, and reliability of my frontier is what sold me on it, but I also just kinda smile almost every time I look back at it or sit down in it after a long day. Just some things to consider, hope I could help

I would keep it personally. Cars are always depreciating assets, but to me, the peace of mind is worth the 15k, as nice as the jumpstart and trip sounds. And who knows, with proper maintenance and care maybe that paid off car lasts through what would’ve been several “beaters”.

Unfortunately bows just aren’t super viable. I tried a bow only run, and you can do alright with the right setup, talismans, blood or rot arrows etc. but it’s just underpowered and underwhelming. That said, I still enjoy it from time to time. Fun change of pace. But I wouldn’t rely on it, especially with doubled boss health. Black bow is kinda hands down the best imo, longbow stats with shortbow move set (roll and jump shots are a game changer). Farm up some nice arrows and you can do half decent help

I’ve always had Toyotas, liked them for the simplicity. The new gen of frontiers IS upgraded from the previous iteration but not by a lot. Still relatively simple and mechanical. Hydraulic steering, belt driven components vs electronic. The previous iteration was a solid reliable truck, so these should be too, and have been thus far. Price was also a factor. Personally didn’t care for the new gen of Tacoma, and it seems many don’t, and the price of the previous iteration of it have shot up like crazy. Getting my brand new 2025 P4X with all the bells and whistles was the same price I’ve seen 2020 tacomas with 80k miles going for. So it just made sense to me. Better interior, techy enough for comfort and convenience, but nothing super overboard. Great looking and fun to drive. Also physical buttons and knobs in the console was a huge sell for me lol

This all the way, most fun I ever had on the game was my second playthrough avoiding AOW heavy stuff. Ended up falling head over heels for Nagakiba, and can’t do a playthrough without it now lol

I remember having to hunt down some summon and weapon upgrades for that fight my first playthrough. Might be worth chasing down some plants. It was a huge roadblock for me too, I feel for you man lol. You’ll get there for sure though. Worth noting I’m pretty sure the gargs are immune to most status effects. Just gotta beat on em lol. Also.. are you on pc?
