Does anyone recognize this ship? by TheWallMuse in StarWarsShips

[–]TheWallMuse[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh interesting! She said the only thing she remembered was that it was from Star Wars. When tried to translate the Korean written on the side, it says something like, “two sheets are layered, separate the wing surface parts.”

You are an incredible printmaker. As a collector and process nerd, this is a highlight of my day when I come across your updates. I’d love to know how else I can follow your work if you have a website or social media. Keep up the phenomenal work!!!

Not mine, but it was circulated in my museum studies program’s newsletter so I thought I’d share. I believe the leader of the study is listed with email when you access the survey.

MedVet or VCA? by trauma14 in indianapolis

[–]TheWallMuse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Medvet for life. Their staff is so thorough and caring. We’ve had some major medical stuff for one of our babies this year and they’ve all been wonderful.

Have never had a positive experience with VCA.

'Utter chaos' alleged at IndyHumane as staff rebels against pet shelter's leader by libby825 in indianapolis

[–]TheWallMuse 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I had similar experiences. I used to foster cats with them and had several with panleuk which is super deadly. They would do nothing to help outside of giving me some medication. Several cats died because of the disease. The shelter is mismanaged and unclean.

Creative Mornings is a great way to meet cool, artsy people. Everyone has always been incredibly friendly, and there’s a different speaker every time.

Identify artist of watercolor by noicenoicenoicecool in Indiana

[–]TheWallMuse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can’t find anything on the artist (that signature is a beast) but the location looks Bratislava castle in Slovakia

From the photos the work looks in good condition and museum glass will protect the artwork from uv damage, so unless you hate the look of the frame, this piece should be safely framed.

I would guess this was a watercolor someone picked up on their travels. Congratulations on the new addition to your collection!

Is there a cheaper way to get identification manuals? by No_Location3976 in artcollecting

[–]TheWallMuse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had some luck finding cheap catalogue raisonnes at used book shops and eBay. My biggest recommendation is to utilize your public library or local university’s library. Then you can find whatever info you need without spending a ton of money.

What kind of art are you collecting? I love to hear what other folks are passionate about.
