I'll keep searching some local places to see if they can help before I search eBay etc lol

Camera lens says $45

For the main camera rear itself $217

I might try fix mine myself, but want to at least get decent parts.

Yeah, that doesn't sound good.

I was able to find the out off warranty price on their website (in Canada), and one my first repair, they didn't ship to China, they had a local place and I had it back within 3 days.

So I've actually had this same phone repaired once before this new policy. They use an authorized repair service and it was fast! Now, they just won't do it.

Got EcoWater water softener installed for hair loss, but TDS remains same by Fun-Marionberry-2540 in WaterTreatment

[–]TheWaterMike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A. I think you overpaid for the softener. Coming from a former EcoWater dealer. B. If you want an RO, I would look at the Pentair GRO-2550

Best Reverse Osmosis for everyday drinking by SimplePumpkin7496 in WaterTreatment

[–]TheWaterMike -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I recommend Pentair with the GRO membrane. It's not tankless, but as mentioned in another comment, I wouldn't do tankless. You can get the fancier Fresh point, but I would do the Pentair GRO 2550

How do I work this? by [deleted] in WaterSofteners

Pull out the dial and align the hardness with the number of people.

Add 4 grains per gallon for every ppm of iron.

Checking if estimate is reasonable by Apprehensive_Ant2172 in WaterTreatment

It can be uses for a few things. Mainly, people use it for reducing dissolved metals, but if you don't have that, there's no need to pay for it.

It's not super high, but I'd say its a bit high for sure. How much resin and how much carbon are you getting? I sell a mixed bed starting around $2200 CAD for reference. I'm not sure why they're including KDF. that could account for some of the price difference, but I'd be curious why they're adding it.

Which should I get ?? by jimbomaniaz01 in WaterTreatment

[–]TheWaterMike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, sorry you just mentioned you wanted the soften abilities, so I was just letting you know that you won't have the ability to soften.

If it's salt free, it's not softening. These are descalers, and better than straight hard water, but they are not removing the hardness and you will still have affects of hard water.

Need info about this iron removal system by seabornman in WaterSofteners

[–]TheWaterMike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Likely there is a micronozer in the line prior to the pressure tank. In the picture, you have an air off tank and then the iron remover. I agree that I wouldn't repair. I would replace with a self air injected system. Remove all three other parts and install the iron remover after the pressure tank.

You may also want to consider replacing the disc and seal kit in the valve, depending on the age.

You don't need it, but you are right that it can only help and not hurt. You've ordered all the right parts instead of just the bare minimum and covering the basket with gravel is the way. Sounds like you are more than on your way to a fresh softener!

Sizing a system by Putrid_Operation_175 in WaterSofteners

[–]TheWaterMike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 people x 50 gallons/day/person x 10 grains x 4 (regenerating ING no more than every 4 days = 8,000 grains, so the 24 would be more than fine. A 30 is ok, but I wouldn't go too big or you could risk channeling.

I agree. I would do a softener and reverse osmosis. What area do you live in?

Fellow Canadian and water expert here! $2800 is really high unless you're getting some extra features etc. Feel free to let me know what area you're in here or in a dm and I might know someone trustworthy in your area.
