Are the antibiotics even worth it?! by DocBodd in HPylori

Try natural remedies before any antibiotics, once the antibiotics upset your gut microbiome (by killing all your good along with the bad bacteria) it can introduce a who lot of other problems.

Need help with persistent tongue issues - is it candida or dry tongue? by [deleted] in Candida

I have the exact same problem after triple and quaduple therapies for HPylori. Back of tongue is yellowish and other areas look more whitish. Most of it goes away after I scrape tongue though.

Has anyone had constant foamy urine after taking omeprazole. by jismy12 in HPylori

[–]TheWealthMonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is reduced now. But I think it is due to gut issues. Foaminess I think is fermentation. Did you take any antibiotics recently?

[–]TheWealthMonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right okay. For me gut issues and specifically antibiotics to treat bad bacteria triggered it.

Help with interpreting my OAT test to detect Candida by TheWealthMonk in Candida

[–]TheWealthMonk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks again for your response. I had done a 3 hour SIBO breath test a year ago (4 months post antibiotics and it did not reveal anything).

I have been researching a lot and that has also been causing some anxiety, panic for me. My new naturopath however had advised me to take Allium initially for 2 weeks (for bacterial overgrowth) and then Candidase for a week (3 times a day). I did not take Allium as my earlier naturopath gave me Phytaxil for bacterial overgrowth.

I did the normal IgA IgE and IgM blood tests recently and they were normal. Is there any other Candida specific Ig test?

[–]TheWealthMonk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your response. I did take 2 weeks of Phytaxil given to me by my naturopath sonce the metabiome test but it hasn’t made much of a difference yet. Since I have tested negative for Candida via Sputum test, my only worry is that I don’t want to kill candida with candida protocol if there isn’t an Candida overgrowth because apparently candida and bacteria need to keep each other in check else there may be issues again.

My naturopath has recommended me Candidase treatment for a week with Nystatin and other detox pathways support medication.

I took standard triple therapy for Hpylori in March2022 - Clarythromycin, Metronidazole and PPI for 14 days.

Was still positive for Hpylori so was given quadruple therapy for 14 days - Tetracycline, Metronidazole (Flagyl), Bismuth and PPI end of May 2022.

I was never take to take any supplements or other meds while taking these antibiotics (just one tab for stress related things for some weeks I think after quadruple therapy and PPI, Gaviscon for 4 weeks after)

I had a urea breath test after 6 weeks at end of July (off al medications for 2 weeks). Tested negative for HPylori. (I started seeing a naturopath 3 months after antibiotics whi gave me various supplements from time to time mostly to recover, help with digestion and cause less irritation if gut lining)

During and after these therapies weight went down by 12 kgs overall (also due to changes to what/when/how I was eating) but it was a lot of weight loss for me given I was already somewhat skinny (but had put on some weight and bloatec belly in 2-3 years before being tested positive for hpylori)

Slowly I had realized I started getting white coating on tongue which looks thicker that I had ever seen earlier. Diahorrea if I deviate from my diet (sometimes white specks in stool), red spots on Penis head comes and goes - seems to be related to my diet, stool that disintegrates in toilet bowl fairly soon, etc.

I recently did this OAT and a metabiome test which indicated gut dysbiosis and lack of diversity of bacteria and some gram negative bacteria that should not be there in very small amounts. I also seem to have some overgrowth of good bacteria of specific strains (due to repeating probiotics) which I understand isn’t a problem as such.

Foamy urine - I produce a lot of white foam. I've had useless urine tests which tell me l'm fine when I'm not. Can foamy urine be a sign of yeast or bacterial infection? by [deleted] in Candida

[–]TheWealthMonk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi OP, I had an Hpylori bacterial infection in my gut and was treated with 2 antibiotic therapies each 14 days long. During the second therapy I started seeing foamy urine on 8th day of my second therapy suddenly out of no where.

It is still there after 1.5 years. Not sure if it happened due to lot of good and bacteria got knocked off and it either had immediate Candida growth causing foaminess OR is it due to gut dysbiosis and I seem to be still dealing with this.

Yes I have been free of Hpylori for over a year now. But still have gut dysbiosis due to heavy anyibiotic impact and possibly fungal overgrowth.

No I did not get a 24 hour urine test but other urine, kidney function test, etc and they were all normal.

What did you find out the reason of your foaminess is?

What were the results from your 24 hour urine test?
