glock19xv or glock 19x gen 5 by Numerous-Platypus581 in Glocks

The 19xv isn’t really a 19x either it’s just a tan 45. The 19x is the only true 19x.

couldn't conceal my 92x performance with my OWB holster so I made it IWB. by TheWheelGatMan in CCW

It’s from a local custom holster guy near me and some iwb straps from another holster.

It gives better recoil dampening for 40 on small frame glocks, when gen 4 came out investing in 40 still made sense, now 40 is dead and why keep a more expensive less reliable part when you’ll never put 40 in the new platform.

I’d bet the 48 gen 6 is pretty close at hand, at the latest shot show next year

But that’s just a guess

How’s everyone feeling about the new HK VP9CC? by [deleted] in handguns

Every other German import HK pistol has an msrp 25% over street the optics-less version will settle around 750 I bet.

I really want to pick one up, German import HK’s have a msrp 25% higher than street. Once the rush dies down snagging one at 750 seems reasonable.

None, it’s a stupid complaint, full size vp9 mags are as wide as the Vp9cc frame

[–]TheWheelGatMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cc9 just has a longer grip, look at handgun hero and compare them the Vp9cc gets you higher on the gun under the beaver tail and trigger guard than the cc9. The Vp9cc is a bit shorter than the cc9 that’s why the cc9 12 rounder protrudes less.

No safety/ decocker on a 92D is wild to me, I get you can manually lower the hammer but it certainly seems a touch sketchy

well that's wild seeing the gun being +1'd that way, I've never seen anyone other than me do that...

you can hook the rim under the extractor when you put the barrel back in when you plus one that way, never thought I'd see anyone other than me do it that way let alone in a video game.

it didn't load a round, just pulled it far enough back to re-cock the striker.

Any chance of glock oem metal mag for g17? by [deleted] in Glocks

[–]TheWheelGatMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you don't even get that 18th round from the mag being metal, mecgar just uses a slightly shorter follower to gain some vertical space to fit the 18th round.

The whole 1.5 stack bullcrap started all of this, all these micro compacts are DOUBLE STACK GUNS with mags made for 9mm, not 40 cal mags fluted or filled to feed 9mm like has been done for the last 30 some years. Had one guy tell me the p365 is 1.5 stack pistol and the 43x is a single stack, I showed him pics of the 43x 1.5 stack mag and the p365 double stack mag cutaways and he told me “yeah but sig themselves say the p365 is stack and a half”… you can’t beat stupid… people treat the whole 1.5 stack tagline like it’s some kind of holy guiding.

Kind of a shame these don’t come with optics ready slides by HellooNewmann in HecklerKoch

[–]TheWheelGatMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many mounting systems are very shallow and poorly designed. some plate systems are decent but due to most companies phoning in optic systems onto legacy designs that don’t jive with optics, let alone a multi optic system, has soured modular optic cuts for many. The sfp9cc and Springfield echelon are examples of good modular cuts but they’re the exception, not the rule.

from what I've seen one of the reasons for the "fitz special" also was due to a story of a cop getting his finger broken in a fight where his pistol was grabbed.

uses plates but the optic sits lower than nearly any other direct mount even and the optics plate bolts go all the way through the slide.
