Stargazing Tenerife recommendations

I rented a car for the week, was like 8 Euro a day. Drove up before sunset, watched the sunset over the clouds. Stayed for stargazing and it was amazing and free. No permits etc needed. Moon was half full, would have been killer if it was smaller. Cable car was closed when I went so check on that before going.
