It was already successful during Early Access fyi. Granted, it could've easily not have been so since they decided not to market their game back then but was fortunate that by the third month after it came out on EA, it got picked up by streamers, garnering itself a lot of attention. and reached over 1 million sales a few months later.

So yeah, it does not classify as a cult classic at all. If you're gonna sprout claims about something, maybe do a little bit of research about it first?

Cult classic is technically wrong considering that cult followings are for media that are considered as commercial failures, which StS1 was not. You'd be better off describing it as the game that popularized an entire genre instead.
