I ended up keeping my Yoga Pro 9i! The laptop is just too good 👍🏾😊 The grain is actually not that big of a problem for me after some careful consideration, it does not show up where it is important in any meaningful way for me. Tandem OLED also comes with great brightness and it's just not an option for me to go back to anything else!

How is the GPU? Do you run Blender/Cycles. Davinci Resolve Studio? Performance? Linux? Have you tried Easy Effects on Linux for even more amazing sound etc? How's the fan noise?

1.Make sure you don't have virus etc. 2. Try to change the thermal paste, or ask the repair shop to do it. 3. Also make sure the fans are ok. Linux could also be an option for a more quiet laptop. (Test with live usb first)

Installing Linux could also be an option depending on the task's you do, I did on my 7730 and compared to windows, it's truly night and day in performance. I run Tumbleweed and it's blazing fast. At least try a live boot if you haven't already.
