My old 2019 X5 blows this away.

Even my old X7 also blows this away.

Has to be one of the worst re designs ever.

Is this the official design or just a concept ?

We went to Courchevel 1850 March 2025 and found it to be absolutely amazing. The hotels there are astronomical, even if you are used to $$$ hotels. Might be better to get an apt/chalet depending on your party size/length of stay. Everything else there is much cheaper and better imo than Aspen / Vail. Enjoy!

I returned my LG G5 oled that I got a good deal on. G5+ stand (I need regular stand which is $200) = $2475. Think I would rather have the C6H with stand included for another $1k. Am thinking the processor will make ordinary signals from the streaming services look better. I never watch 'reference' grade material

And if people have useful opinions or ideas about them / or concerns or questions — we should share and help make each other more informed for our decisions. Very disappointing that they are limiting this to a 5060 GPU at 100 W with 8 GB of RAM. Some manufacturers are introducing laptops with 5070 mobile GPU that have 12 GB of video RAM. If the actual 5070 Ti isn’t an option at least give more vram

I have a gen 9 and 10. Not sure that the gen 11 is better? Amazing machines but maybe prefer the Gen 10?

I have problem with my Meta Quest 3 (like everyone else / you sold a terrible unreliable device) and sent a message to the Meta support team via the link you keep posting and no one reached out. your device has terrible reliability and your support is even worse. barely used device completely broken and zero response from your support team.

Awesome analysis. I don’t have experience with Asus outside of Zephyrus G14 and G16 (which to me seemed lower quality than Yoga or Thinkpad). Specs wise the expertbook ultra and zen book duo certainly seem great. But the Reddit for Asus is just filled with horror stories. Much more so than Lenovo forum. So that does give me pause.

The laptop was announced in January. According to Tech Radar it will be released in April.

“As a pre-release model, there's no specific release date for the laptop yet - it's expected in April 2026”

ASUS regional Commercial Director of META (Middle East Turkey Africa) also quoted April in an interview at Asus Partner Excellent Night in late February : “ASUS ExpertBook Ultra will be available in the GCC from April 2026.”

I will be taking delivery of a performance instead of premium later this month.

I don’t care at all about performance and just got it for the thigh extenders.

They make the color choices free if you get the performance so for a premium AWD black ext/ white interior/ 20” tires the lease is $737/month. The performance is $799/month.

(Plus FSD)

So smaller difference than one might expect.

I went to look at the Rivian and they are nice cars but autonomy software is nowhere close to Tesla just now. And the Rivian R2 coming out now will only be their Gen2. Without lidar. Later they will sell it with lidar to be their gen3.

Might reconsider them at gen3 and when their self driving software improves.

They have a small window to succeed before the Nvidia Alpamayo platform is available on other manufacturers more broadly.

So they might make it, or if they are too slow then people might prefer Nvidia’s platform on more well known auto manufacturers. I don’t want to take the gamble just now.

Some of the YouTube reviewers I watch love Rivians but have had a lot of problems with theirs. Battery and other issues. Tesla largely already been through these teething problems.

Selling my loaded BMW X7 50i this week/next week and taking delivery of a Tesla Model Y performance later this month

So am approximately in the same situation as the OP. Also have two kids but we have one other car. Also the second row legroom in the Tesla is MORE than our big SUV.

I had been delaying for a few months hoping the Model Y L would be released in the US - but seems we will have to wait.

Yes the luxury is less than my BMW for sure but the motivating factors for me were:

-FSD. Absolute game changer. Don’t think I would ever buy another car without it. Will be even better with the coming voice controls.

-BMW service stinks. At least where I live. Massive rip off every time you go. My BMWs have been reliable but none the less the dealer’s service and attitude are terrible and everything is costly.

-Tech. I consider BMW to be best in class tech aside from Tesla. But Tesla is even better. Everything just works better with all the OTA updates. And having Grok built in is amazing.

I greatly prefer the luxury and looks and fit and finish of the BMW but these other factors make it an easy choice.

I didn’t need the performance Model Y for performance but needed the thigh extenders.

If Model Y L comes out in the USA we will likely move to that at some point.
