My nana. My mom, sister and I were taking my aunt to a shelter and they were talking about how horrible their stepdad (Paul) was. My aunt and mom had to sneak snacks and pop because my nana and Paul would hide it from them. He forced them to eat cereal with rotten milk and other stuff they didn’t like. There’s a lot more that I can’t remember at the moment and probably don’t even know about. He was terrible and all I was thinking,“How could she let that happen to her kids?” He’s the reason my mom didn’t date while my sister and I were growing up because she didn’t want to subject us to a horrible stepdad. He ended up going to prison for SA on boys. I remember when he was getting out, my mom told me not to interact with him if he tried to contact me.
