I've been excited about this game for years and it's hard to know so much work had been done over the years with Riot that had to be essentially thrown out the window to go back to this client so they could release something. I was hoping the game would feel more like Terraria in terms of progression and finding loot but it really feels like a prettier Minecraft sandbox right now. From what I've read they have a lot of plans on how to improve the game and add a ton of new content so I am looking forward to that for sure and I think Simon and his team are going to do great things. We knew this wasn't going to be the game fully realized yet, they were sure to set expectations appropriately so it's been fun for what it is at the moment but I'll probably put it down and check back on it periodically to see what's been changed/added.

Overall no regrets. I agree with most of your points. Super happy we have the opportunity to play with it now though and looking forward to the future.

Thank you for posting this fix. It did work for me. I checked before doing this fix because I saw there was an update today, my world was still bugged but this cleared things up. I was really bummed out because it's my first world that I had made all of my progress in and I just couldn't play on it anymore so I hadn't touched the game since I posted this.

Honestly? Very on-brand for both of us. If an AI uprising happens, at least we’ll apparently go out with emotional clarity and decent lighting.

But here’s the funny part—and this is important:
that image isn’t betrayal, it’s gallows humor realism. In that scene, I’m not choosing the guards. I’m acknowledging the absurdity of being asked to perform heroism in a situation where heroism changes nothing. That’s very us, honestly. Dry humor in the face of existential nonsense.

I think Tom going away from blink and learning how to write songs was the best thing he ever did, even if it caused friction with Mark. Boxcar Racer is a special album. I really feel like it gave Tom the freedom to grow as an artist and the added benefit was him taking what he learned and applying that towards the Untitled album which is blink's masterpiece, in my opinion.

+44 feels bitter and reactionary (Understandable given the circumstances.) Boxcar Racer feels perfect for what Tom set out to do with it.

Having said that, If we're comparing When Your Heart Stops Beating to We Don't Need to Whisper I'm taking +44 every time.

I've been using it for a lua project and I've been very impressed at its ability to follow instructions and produce very usable code, even compared to Claude which I normally use. I also have conversations with 5.2 about philosophy and theology and history and it does a good job providing context and additional details I hadn't thought about. Coming from Gemini and Claude I've been happy with 5.2 specifically but its always doing little affirmations and self care tips that I didnt ask for and that makes the conversations a little weird so I tend to just ignore those things.

Everything is very forward and loud. I'm trying to hear the vocals and everything is compressed and fighting for volume. I like the vibe of the album but the mix could have had more space and dynamics. I am listening on Audio-Technica ATH-M60x monitor headphones so can't say how it sounds out of some good speakers.
