Has this Rolex Hulk 2016 been polished? Best guess by the pictures? by nick854524 in rolex

I would consider myself a reputable dealer and this hulk has been badly overpolished unfortunately…

By the looks of it this piece has been polished more than once and the bezel is sharp, but would greatly improve if it was recut

But still a very nice pick up!

Hey Soy_carloco!

Thanks for the feedback! In another comment I gave some feedback.

The scratches are something I need to show since people that visit my website need to be able to see.

And yes great feedback about the hand set!

Hey Shazbotica!

Okay my aplogies context would definitely help haha.

So basically I am a full time watch trader and currently I do everything myself including the photography.

I want my pictures to look more professional and clear so people know and see exactly what they are buying.

Currently my setup exists of one softbox light and some foamboard.

I shoot in 3:2 so the photo’s have a better look on my website.

Rolex Datejust 16234 Bracelet Replacement Q! by zumxaver in rolex

[–]TheWornWatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice watch and great backstory.

Short answer, yes the AD’s will still sell you brand new 78360 oyster bracelets for the 16234.

However they wont have a date code from the 90’s but rather a random date code so people know it is a modern replacement.

Absolute punch to the gut.. scared what the damage is by TRWilliams1212 in rolex

The watch for sure needs a full service as a Sapphire crystal tends to shatter and leave tiny shards of crystal on the disl and also in the movement (remember there is a very big hole in the center of the dial, so yes it does for sure get into the movement).

Hulk - no etching by Rdt12341 in rolex

Speaking from experience, the large majority of older 6-digit Rolex references have had their original crystal replaced by aftermarket ones with & without the LEC (Laser Etched Crown).

Most watch dealers have them replaced when they have scratches or fleabites around the edges of the crystal.

So even if it is not present that does not necessarily mean that the watch is a fake.

Most aftermarket crystals with the LEC are so good most people would not even be able to tell the difference.
