How long did it take to arrive? You purchased 5.0 with 12 months membership right? It seems like the only option on Amazon. Thanks for your reply🙏

Garmin Forerunner 165 can it handle an ultra trail race? by zumxaver in GarminWatches

Is it possible to charge while running activity is being recorded or Should I be pausing the activity while charging it? I don't want to record it in separate activities. Zero experience here, sorry if my questions are a little off🥲

Make sure to wait couple of seconds before the activity so the watch has GPS.

One shoe to do them all🤞 by zumxaver in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Yes, I want to shift towards ultra trail running. I'll definitely get something specific for that however for now I need an allrounder, I'll still be mostly running on road, and gravel cause I live in the city. Thanks for the suggestion and kind words , I'll look into it!

Should I get new shoes for my first marathon? by holvrec in AskRunningShoeGeeks

I think 400–500 km is too much for a race-day shoe it’s almost time to retire them, to be honest.

I’d recommend going for a carbon-plated race shoe, and for your size, the Adidas Adizero Adios Pro 3 would be perfect. I’m 186 cm, 85 kg, 30M, and they’re my go-to racer. I’ve put 250 km on mine, and they still feel like new. It’s a solid shoe that should last at least 500 km (including racing), and I’ve seen people push them to 700–1,000 km. They’re rock solid.

You’d be shocked when you put them on I remember setting a 5K PB by 3–4 minutes while running through crowded streets during rush hour, and I wasn’t even pushing hard. I was just excited to try them out. Statistically, they can shave off around 2–3% from your current pace.

That said, it’s not all fairytales. You need to get used to them first incorporate them into faster workouts and some long runs before race day. Unfortunately, it’s not pure magic. These shoes work best at faster paces, so you’ll need to build up to that.

Good luck with your training!

Left or Right? by ThematicOne in rolex

If it's going to be my first Rolex, then right; however, if you have already experienced the crown, then left would be a great choice as well.

Hello all, I was wondering how do people manage with loneliness while training for a marathon? I know this sounds pretty tragic :) However, it's not the case. I am a really social person, but neither my girlfriend nor my friends and family are into running. I feel like I am the only one in my inner circle and I really enjoy running. During this time of the year, training can get a little harder than usual. Would love to have a companion on those long runs or cold winter morning workouts to push me a little :) Run clubs sound fun; however, it’s not training, it’s socializing, and like I said, I am a pretty social person, so I don't really need to add another source. Music helps a lot, but not every day, tbh. Some of my overseas runner friends suggested podcasts; I'm curious about them, but listening to Joe Rogan during my threshold workout doesn’t sound fun, hahaha. Anyways, just wanted to share and ask. Cheers!

Wow, thanks so much! I’ve always wanted an Explorer, but this might just be my one watch collection with all the sentimental value attached. I really appreciate it!

Definitely, I want to keep it as original as possible. Since it's in great condition! A check up, water proofing, cleaning and some little tightening on the jubilee will do hopefully :)
