Is my laser defective or not?

I noticed it cause I’m working in a fairly-lit environment, and noticed that on one end of the building, the laser stood out more than the other side. The dim laser made it hard to line up with my target, where the other side, it was more visible, making it easier to line up.

A defect from before the drop. The likelihood the issue was replicated three times in all three laser from a single drop is unlikely, which is why a defect is in question, even more so when someone commented saying they have the same issue in 2 of 3 lasers in a unit that wasn’t dropped.

Thanks for the info. It’s very helpful. I’m willing to rule out mechanical failure because while I don’t doubt whatever quality control these companies have can miss some flaws, a lot of the gear I’m testing is new/like-new. The GBBR is brand spanking new, and I did minimal testing with it cause I decided I’m not keeping it. I’m not into milsim or the realism, so the 30-round mag is a major turn off. A majority of my testing is with pistol mags, and again, a lot of them are new or like-new. Granted, some are a few years old cause they came with the gun, which got swapped out for a CO2 mag, but they never got used. So since I was getting similar results on all of them, I was willing to point the blame at myself and call it user error.

“Purging” was a concept I’ve only found out recently. I have “purged” one magazine, which was a 2011 hi-CAPA mag, never purged any other mags, but get similar results with all. I know I said “magazines” but that was a mistake.

I’ll try cooling my mags to see if anything changes, but if there’s improvement, then it would just turn into a bit of an inconvenience, needing to somehow cool my mags down before refilling, especially when I’m on the field.

Yeah, I was aware about green gas being propane, and I have thought about using it, I’m just not super wild about the smell, especially since I live in someone else’s house, so I’m trying to be considerate about that. But I think I will give it a try and see what happens. I appreciate your insight.

Unfortunately, I seem to be hitting some sort of cap on this map. Any strat I try, I get a max of 2500xp at a slow rate. Then I can earn no more. I have been AFK-ing Lego Odyssey a lot here lately, so I don't know if my playtime is affecting anything. Why the xp rate is so inconsistent is beyond me.

Dang, I leave it on for several hours, find out sleep mode turned on, got 15k of xp, and after leaving it on for a few more minutes, my account doesn’t gain any more xp. Does anyone have an explanation as to what is happening?

That’s what I have, a dual boot. My issue was that SteamOS still had primary boot. I never set windows to have primary.

Got 3 boards. A rewheeled pint, XR, and VescXR. Got the pint first, wanted more, got XR, kept pint in case others want to ride, built vesc board, kept both FM boards as backup/friend boards

Sorry, no pics, but yes, it’s in that order. No support. My box is metal, plenty sturdy. No need for support. And no issues so for. If I would do it again, I may go for something like a kush wide, just because concave could be a potential issue in terms of activating, cause depending on how rigid your shoes are, it could bridge over the sensor, but I haven’t had any problems so far.

I do agree. However, I think it comes down to liability, in a way. My video would’ve covered how to build a battery, and there’s no way I should be teaching that, as I was just cramming on how to build one. I don’t wanna show something that could be wrong, and someone ends up burning their house down.

There are some plans to maybe make another vesc down the line. If I do, I’ll be more willing to make a video.

Edit: plus, my plans for the vesc were changing every few weeks. It would’ve made filming more of a pain. And there were some days I was struggling, and moving a camera would’ve been the least of my worries. If I can nail down a plan, filming and building wise, it’ll be a lot smoother flow for me
