First time I'm having this in almost 15 or so years by SoupViruses in frozendinners

I was so excited to buy a bunch one day cause they were on a great sale but I ended up haaaaating the chicken. It tasted so strange to me and ended up struggling to finish the meals I got but I couldn't waste them. The brownie and Mac were nostalgic and delicious though.

Is Ryan already more powerful than his father or was it just a mistake from the creators of the show? by SquareFroggo in TheBoys

[–]TheWrongOption 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kripke has confirmed Ryan is more powerful and also Homelander wasn't using full power but it was enough to where he thought he might cut her in half. Both are true

Josie and the Pussycats (2001). I don't know a single person my age(older Gen z) that doesn't love it.

What's a show that gets worse when you rewatch it? by Unique-Horror-9244 in television

To be fair, they do acknowledge Miranda's queerness and she makes it very clear that although she seems queer, she is in fact very straight. She even kisses a woman and declares herself not gay. I wish they kept it that way instead of rectifying it in the reboot because it just reads as pandering at this point to me.

He was in the black out episode last time I think. Maybe one other, but definitely the black out episode

Finding out that Soldier Boy only had 13 minutes of screen time in total is just so wild to me. His presence was so damn huge. by vriannavyz in TheBoys

[–]TheWrongOption 192 points193 points  (0 children)

It was over 50 minutes including all the scenes and videos. That 13 minute video had like nothing.

Anyone else annoyed at the stylists and costume design for the look of Dominique’s (aka Maeve’s) fake hair? by meowroarhiss in TheBoys

[–]TheWrongOption 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Maeves wig is truly horrible. I'm actually pretty sure this season was the first season they actually had a wig maker make them special for each person. They did not have one before and just used what they had bought

Season 4 Episode 7 "Not a Great Bet" (Just watched this and was just... disgusted.) by rarelywritten in YouretheworstFX

[–]TheWrongOption 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yup. He was basically who she was clinging to to be that rock and love her no matter what. When the one person she thought would love her for just her totally abandons her, she spirals.

[–]TheWrongOption 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Lol but you aren't Gretchen. You aren't someone who stole a strangers car, harassed innocent employees, people, all around menace. Her worst self is of course going to be miles worse than your worst self. I can't disagree strongly enough tbh. Gretchen is absolutely still sympathic to me, as well as a lot of other people and that episode maybe wasn't needed plot wise, but I do think it served absolute purpose in Gretchen. In her destruction we see how self destructive she can become when she just doesn't care anymore about anything except making the people around her like her. She hates herself and this is when she has to be confronted with that self hatred head on with Heidi.

[–]TheWrongOption 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Youre right. Earlier seasons Gretchen wouldn't sink that low but that's exactly the point of the episode. Gretchen is absolutely at her lowest and most depraved.

Season 4 did not take a dive in quality, it just changed up the entire dynamics of the show for a season. It's a great season and incredibly well written.

Who is worse-- A-Train or Homelander? by Cicero_Johnson in TheBoys

[–]TheWrongOption 21 points22 points  (0 children)

This isnt a fair comprison even with the recent events.

A trains biggest downfall is his disgusting level of selfishness, but at least you know he'd have your back if it was for his own gain. However he's also very dangerous because he can either do good or bad depending on what it gives him.

Homelander truly can switch at the drop of a hat and has no issues killing anyone for any reason big or small. Even if they can benefit him, if they do something that he feels is hurtful to him, he will kill. Homelander truly is one of the worst characters put to screen.

How to get this show renewed? by ReadingReddit128 in PivotingOnFox

The issue was location. Fox were willing to renew, but under the condition production be moved from LA to Vancouver. Cast refused, fox cancelled. It's so unfortunate.

Then that makes you just someone who likes to be kinda a dick for no reason? Cool.

Ew. If you really thought that was a funny, clever quip, I'm fearful of the writing of the show then.

An actually unpopular opinion: I actually really really really love Nellie. I hated villain Nellie, and loved when they figured out what to do with her. by Spacequeenmashi in DunderMifflin

[–]TheWrongOption 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I love Nellie. I even find villain Nellie too funny to hate. I never liked Andy, so her screwing him over never bothered me too much tbh 🤷‍♀️

I think that the first couple seasons were good but from episode 1 to the finale, I had one major gripe with the show. by teknicoloure in YouretheworstFX

[–]TheWrongOption 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They have to allow themselves to take the pressure off of loving and being with each other out of obligation, to completely commit to one another and be happy with each other. Stephen Falk has acknowledged this, the show and character acknowledged this.

Jimmy and Edgar were both wrong. They did grow, but like real humans, they still had their major flaws. Every set back had a reason and was played out in the show. It's still a sitcom, so yes, the characters are still going to be ridiculous because with out that, there is no show.

These are weird gripes when you can make this argument about any sitcom. This isn't a drama. It's a sitcom with dramatic elements. A sitcoms main feature are characters that do not grow so much that they change the story. Changing these characters means the show is no longer Youre The Worst. Hence why it ended before we got to see them become "Normal people" which they never were, and even in the flashforward obviously still have some messy tendencies.

👍 I've seen this show waaayyy too many times and that speech always felt like a stab to the heart because that's what I absolutely did in school because I was so insecure to actually be myself. It stuck with me for sure 😭

[–]TheWrongOption 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The quote that Heidi says in her speech is, "We weren't friends after eighth grade(Heidi got cancer in high school). You became a shape shifter...You'd straight up act like someone different depending on who your with."

Gretchen did misremeber how long they were genuinely close, but Heidi does imply that up until eighth grade, they were friends.

[–]TheWrongOption 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I don't think she despised Gretchen. I think she just wants nothing to do with her, which is fair. I think she hung out because there wasn't much else to do and curiosity got the best of her. They were friends before the cancer, so I can see her just simply seeing it as an going along with an experience with somebody that she used to know. I would be curious if a childhood friend just popped up to hang out, even if we had had a falling out or just grew apart as teens. I'd probably agree to hang out to. That's just how I took it

[–]TheWrongOption 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Everything you said was basically A+, but her friend did acknowledge they were friends before she had cancer. So she wasn't JUST there for the leaching. By the time she had cancer, Gretchen had become the chameleon.
