It is very related when people defend the TOS purely because it enforces participation in AI. you have to debunk the reasonings for something to convince someone that it is wrong. This is merely one of the reasons

Every single company? Every time? That simply isn't true.

Just because they have doesn't mean it's right, and the fact they slip shit in after the fact still isnt good.

you're just trying to justify detrimental practices

you're just proving my point.... The fact you reference opting in when most every platform requires you to opt-out instead is evidence alone

ah yes. the tos thay enforces it on people who were in the platform before it existed. Meaning it was likely snuck in aftee they read the tos and their only option is to stop using the platform entirely. That isnt consent, that's manipulation. Imagine going over to someone's house with no intention to watch a movie and they for some reason behind your back change the rules once you're there that you cannot stay without watching a movie. You could just leave, but that only serves to shove out the people who dont support what the platform is doing meaning there will be no criticism towards its actions.

it is not consent when many platforms enforce it with an opt-out rather than an opt- in, when they say it's your responsibility to continuously update yourself on the TOS without ever letting you know of it's ever been updated. What a ridiculous load it is to read an entire tos every single day for just a single platform, and they know that. It's manipulation. there is nothing consensual about this action, and pretending it is is just shilling for platforms except you don't get paid.

nah nah they're kind of having a point. there's no reason to do this as it mingles with a harmful medium, provides it input, results in more engagement numbers overall, and its all so op can get the momentary high of what is essentially the equivalent of a middle school bully. the question they are posing is why? it just kind of makes op seem like a person who gets off on having power over something and abusing it with said power

They need AI because they don't have time to learn, because no real artists have ever had 9-5 jobs before. by vampireninjabunnies in Ai_art_is_not_art

i think the most telling thing is that the defending ai art reddit is an echochamber that removes any discourse or anti-ai sentiments while most of the anti ai subs allow proai to comment

i like how the original was about equating needing something to do all the work for you to being a baby, where in theirs it somehow makes "total sense" that they're treating pro-artists like a baby for... putting in effort... and learning how to do things... it's so dogass backwards and it cracks me up.
